I'm a little disappointed that each character only got 1 echo each. In 2 and pre-sequel there were like 3 scattered in an area for each character. These are still great I just want a little more to better understand the characters.
I love how FL4K's tape didn't take away from his mysterious background and it was played for jokes more than anything since it's so basic and comical. A badass hunting with packs of the most savage animals, became that way because he was a service bot who one day just felt like killing things.
Zane is a veteran hitman, he has been so long in the business it's exciting when people he knows come after him aha. In a business full of anxiety Zane has no qualms or worries. I wonder what would make him worry?...

Borderlands 4, when we get the Siren that has Steele's powers (Or if Gearbox throws a massive curve ball and gives us a Siren with Phaseleech powers) and all the Borderlands 3 vault hunters that survive are story characters and non-playable, I fully expect Moze to team up with Brick, Tina, and Mordecai and go absolutely bat-shit livid at some point and Tina drags Brick and Mord away from Iron Bear saying "Hey, homegirl gotta blow off some steam, and you do NOT wanna hear what she sayin'. Mo-Mo got a big vocabularitous library of nasty lingo in that brain of hers and it's all fallin' out of her face hole at once."
I didn't realize until I played Zane how short Moze was so I imagine a small soldier girl using every swear word she can think of, being loud as fuck while storming over to Iron Bear and everything gets muffled as she climbs into Iron Bear
Zane’s echo gave me a really interesting thought. Is there any major lore for the non-weapon manufacturers like Pangolin and Anshin? Because they are never in the same light as say Torgue, Dahl or Hyperion Which then makes me laugh cause in BL3, they make it sound like Tediore is the bottom bitch company, compared to Atlas and Maliwan at least.
It's because they literally make trash guns, that you dispose of after emptying a clip. They have no class and are just blocks with grips and triggers that shoot bullets
I chose Moze, no regrets there. Her gameplay style is quite literally "Run and Gun" as she gets a perk where she can still fire even while sprinting. One final perk will let her regenerate 5% of a mag's ammo every second, and there's so much that stacks together. And she gets a mech with customizable guns and let me tell you. Duel flamethrowers plus +25% Speed When Flamethrowers hit a Target plus +25% damage for duel wielding mech weapons plus +40% flame damage = Everything F**king DIES As a bonus, her voice lines are hilarious "You wouldn't believe the street food I've eaten. Honestly if you fry anything I'll probably eat it..."

Might be a stretch, but was that a reference to The Elder Scrolls series in FL4K's origin? I mainly get that feeling because of the scrolls and "Talos Empire".
Almost everything in Borderlands lore is named after Greek mythology stuff. Talos is also from Greek mythology. So its not that Borderlands is referencing Skyrim, its more like Borderlands and Skyrim were referencing the same thing.

Maya was pretty boring too compared to the others in BL2. Zer0 had the Haiku thing going on. Gaige was a nerdy girl, Krieg was insane, Salvador was a walking parody of action heroes, and Axton despite being the most regular still had some funny one liners. Maya didn't start being entertaining until BL3 during Athenas. Lilith on the other hand compared to Roland and arguably Mordecai had much more personality. Brick on the other hand is still the most entertaining BL1 Vault Hunter. So 1 of 3 Sirens weren't "meh."

Zane's log is probably the closest thing to "black lagoon mercenary" I've seen. Where the closest friends you have are other mercenary assholes you know and meet in the same job, usually where you try to kill each other.
Haven’t picked up Borderlands 3, yet, but when I get around to it, I’m definitely making Zane my first play through. I like his design best and his personality is maniacally awesome!

What would Amara's be? One of the reasons she left Patalli was there was literally NO ONE who would fight her.
Her manager setting up a fight between her and someone else? Possibly Brick, and making it televised or something.

That's a brilliant idea, future games should actually incorporate some missions like that that are character specific.

honestly Moze is probably one of the most broken characters you can spec her so that you can burst down bosses in seconds in mayhem 3

I preferred how the back stories were handled in 2. Having more story across multiple recording gave a bit more flavor to the characters backstory

Where the closest friends you have are other mercenary assholes you know and meet in the same job, usually where you try to kill each other.

Haven’t picked up Borderlands 3, yet, but when I get around to it, I’m definitely making Zane my first play through. I like his design best and his personality is maniacally awesome!
By their ECHO logs, one wouldnt even assume that Baron Flynt, Captain Flynt and Zane are related.
why do I have a feeling zane is actually the oldest and last of the flynt brothers, it would make a bit of sense that the oldest would be the strongest do to experience and unlike his brothers not needing goons or henchmen
There's an echo recording stating he's Captain and Baron Flynt's younger brother. There's also a bit of dialogue where Zane mentions his brother's names being Captain and Baron.

Considering the end of the game it makes sense why Amara would bring up how Sirens just seem to flock to Pandora
