my unpopular opinion on racing (NASCAR and F1 at least), they need to put in less concrete and more grass. Cars constantly are driving wide of the road on corners. If they can't stay on the actual surface between the marks
, let them slide off.
More run off allows the cars more opportunity to stop faster under brakes.
Braking on grass doesn't really stop the car properly or fast
