Salwat perform a function as if a person is a sinner or not, mercy descends upon them because we are sending blessings upon Allah's favorite human and the Light of Allah. Therefore, we receive abundant rewards, but it depends on the person's intention. The best supplication for forgiveness of sins is Astaghfar, which is already uploaded on the channel. It is even better to recite the tasbeeh of Astaghfar along with Salwat. hopefully, it will greatly benefit your spiritual life.

Salli or Salle is not the issue. Athough writing it in the correct way would render the Arabic pronunciation of (Saw-lli) where the w and i are a soft guttral sound.
