0:54 I’m not sure if this is just me, but I absolutely adore Nene’s voice here. I can’t even describe why, it’s just really nice to listen to on loop.
It’s not just you. That’s the whole reason I want a Nene alt vocal for this song (well actually I want alt vocals for everyone in this song except Emu and MeiFlower but that’s neither here nor there).

I honestly really like this cover. Yeah, I think everyone should have solos available for this song, and the fact that they just slapped MEIKO onto vFlower is...a choice to say the least, but I like it. I feel like Emu isn't bad and I think at some parts her higher pitch is a good contrast for the others( ex. 0:24 and building up to Tsukasa) and I kinda like the sound of MEIKO mixed with vFlower. I think that WxS did well with this cover, but as a fellow Tsukasa fan, I think they did him really dirty this song...
Tbf I like Emus voice here it’s a kinda sickeningly sweet sound but in a good way cause it works for the songs tone and her vocals are pretty powerful here, it just works for me

I think people blew things out of proportion with this song because MEIKO’s parts aren’t even bad is just the fact that Flower’s vocals are there too that people are mad but i think both voices complement each other really well in the cover. And to be fair, no other vsinger has that same powerful voice as Flower but I’m just making a stretch there lol
Nah they do. It just takes a professional vocaloid producer to make them pop. Len is very easy to go crazy with.

Tbh I don't mind how MEIKO sounds. When I first heard her I thought she sounded really cool but then I saw people saying they layered Flower's vocals underneath MEIKO's and like... that explains why I thought I could hear two voices when she sang solo. I have mixed feelings about it.. like on one hand that's kinda lazy that they just layered the original vocals but it also sounds kinda cool?
Exactly! The mixed voices give off a pretty eerie vibe, and it fits the vibe for the song quite well, but again, it is quite lazy as you said.

This cover is amazing, i want separate emunene and ruikasa covers because i think some of the male female contrast was a little not good (im pretty sure its the deep high ratio, if they did a lowlow or highhigh it would be good)

At first, I didn’t really like this cover. Emu and Nene didn’t really fit there, MEIKO’s tuning was ok, I wished they would’ve given Rui and Tsukasa more solo lines
Now after more listening, it grew on me. Emu and Nene sound like they should be there, MEIKO’s vocals on top on Flower’s vocals add a nice touch to it, and Rui and Tsukasa still sound amazing, just wish they got more lines.

Looking at the cover with other eyes and calmed down from the expectations and everything else I see that it is not bad (there are better covers and that it could have been performed better, yes).
But things like the choice of lines, Emu's voice "being too high pitched for this song" and Meiko's tuning ended up being a bit too exaggerated being that in my opinion these are things that, despite being improvable, don't make the song so difficult to listen to, I think it's more a matter of many things out of the ordinary that we just need to get used to more.
And as far as I can see, the fact that they put VFlower's vocals behind Meiko's is a reverb effect they wanted to do (which they didn't do very well and you can tell because they did it with Emu's low notes at the beginning and that's the only place where you can find that experimentation).
It is like the attempt of echo that the original song had mixed with the reverb effect of the last song that Hiiragi had released in his official channel.
In summary: Although it could be improved in some aspects, the cover is being too undervalued being that it is noticeable the effort of wanting to try new things like the low notes of Emu or a little more prominence for Nene in terms of songs.
Why is no one talking about Emu LOL she's the reason this cover doesn't work for me, too cheerful and high pitched for such a dark-sounding song
