    Do you think the side that is without denatured alcohol is suitable for acne prone skin? And can you please make a full review on Clinique Turnaround moisturizer, I heard good things about it and I think you will like it for your dry skin :)

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 года назад

      I've been meaning to review the turnaround moisturizer. I love it so the good things you heard are right! The Revolumize does have a few acnegenic ingredients, butelyne glycol is pretty high up on the ingredients list, as well as shea butter, cetearyl alcohol, Vitamin E, and beeswax. I'm not sure if I would recommend it for acne prone skin. Actually since you mentioned it, I'd probably recommend the turnaround cream ahead of that one. I'll try to review it next week. For a while I had thought they had discontinued the Turnaround collection, but it was Sephora that didn't have it up on their website for a while.

    Thanks for the review. I have the revolumize but not sure how to use it in relation to the other Clinique products. Is this a moisturizer or a something to use under/before the moisturizer? My favorite Clinique product is their All About Eyes. I also liked the Moisture Surge (had it some time ago) but wondering now if it has Denat. Alcohol; does it?

    I actually didn’t buy this for the reasons you mentioned. One of the only Clinique products I like is the moisture surge in the pink jar. I have it and use it here and there but it’s really one of the only Clinique products that work for me. 💜💜💜 I had seen that Este Lauder product and was very curious about it and wondered if you were going to test it out.

      I also love the Clinique Moisture Surge- I tend to like using it during the winter on my neck and decolette when it gets super dry out. I'm enjoying the EL Reset a lot- I'll review it hopefully next week. It is pricey, but when it was on sale at the last 20% off Ulta had I picked it up with some of my points.

      No BS Beauty awesome! I do love the Clinique moisture surge surprisingly because the only products from Clinique I love is that and their Sunscreens. I can’t wait
      For you to review the EL concentrate because I used to love the Night Repair until I saw your review and realized the ingredients that were in it weren’t so great for the expensive price tag.

    Cetearyl alcohol is a chemical found in cosmetic products. It’s a white, waxy substance made from cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol, both fatty alcohols. They’re found in animals and plants, like coconut and palm oil. They can also be made in a laboratory.
    They are used in personal care products, mainly skin lotions, hair products, and creams. They help create smoother creams, thicker lotions, and more stable foam products.
    Fatty alcohols are sometimes called long-chain alcohols because of their chemical formula. They usually have an even number of carbon atoms, with a single alcohol group (-OH) attached to the last carbon.
    Cetyl alcohol has 16 carbon atoms. Stearyl alcohol has 18. Cetearyl alcohol is a combination of the two, so it has 34 carbon atoms. Its molecular formula is C34H72O2.
    This does not dry the skin.

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 года назад +1

      I'm sorry if I was a little confusing, I didn't mean to imply that cetearyl alcohol was bad, I meant to state that it contains a good fatty alcohol, NOT the drying denatured type of alcohol. The other formula in this does contain debating alcohol though. Obviously in Skincare there are two types of alcohol- the good fatty hydrating type, and the drying type- also called denatured alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, sd alcohol, ethanol.

    • @cecescooter8951
      @cecescooter8951 4 года назад +1

      Jeanette, what I heard 'No BS Beauty' say (and read on the Clinique website) was that the Resculpting product contains denatured alcohol, and that it's quite high on the ingredient list. I'd personally like My 40+ skin to have more of the good alcohols (fatty acids), and less of the denatured alcohol.

  • @natas3859

    Does it work?

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 года назад

      It leaves skin feeling nice and soft, and after a few weeks of use it does help soften the look of fine lines. It didn't do much to firm skin, but did do more for hydration and small wrinkles.

    How about actually using the product for the time it tells you to use them before you do a review? You’re not giving a review of how it worked on. You’re giving a review based on ingredients and some of your information is incorrect. Both products have had huge results and are clinically tested.

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 года назад +2

      I appreciate you candor! Personally, my review is mostly based off of the ingredients, scientific studies on the ingredients, and how they perform in published research studies. Only a small part of my review is my personal experience with the product because different skin types will react individually. I believe discussing the efficacy of ingredients is the most important factor in reviewing skincare products.

      Drying alcohol like alcohol denat is bad for people who have sensitive, reactive, allergic, dry skin and especially when it's a main ingredient it can be irritating to more people. Brands often use it because it's SUPET cheap instead of creating a more suitable formula. Clinique is not a cheap brand so they could do better in my opinion ...
