    For training doing it during feeding time is my favorite. Working for their food brings a new enjoyment to dinner time plus add on hand feeding to that and it helps prevent food aggression. I give my dog one bite of kibble for every command she listens to. Sit= kibble look at me=kibble. It seems to work really wel

      Thank you! I’ve been training using puppy training treats and it seems to be going really well 🤗 It’s still very early days but Max has settled in perfectly and he’s already coming along with his house training 🥰

    I clicked this and then my guy was sick on my white rug... Got that cleaned up and am starting again! Sending yall so much love and patience for this season of life! A dogs love is so similar to a child's, it makes it so worth any of the hard moments!
    My guy is matted up so badly and I brush him daily. He loves snow so i let his hair grow out for winter and it's been such weird weather it's causing static and he is getting new mats constantly. I couldn't find detangler so I've been using my hair oil on him as I get tangles and mats easily too! My groomer said they like to see puppies starting at 8 or 12 weeks just to get them used to the sounds, smells and feeling and over the anxiety of it all. I use a private groomer as the ones inside stores will hire anyone and give them a few hours training. So I def support the small business groomers! We just have to get through Feb 7th and my guy will be all cleaned up and stylish again! Lol definitely use the slicker brush on his body daily and do short strokes that get down to the skin. You also should get a steel comb to run through and they help to pick out any mats! My groomer recommended a steel comb and a slicker brush before she had even met my pup!
    I use puppy pads still! They have never been his only option, from day one I brought him outside when he signalled and/or every two hours to encourage him to go. He picked it up really fast. However, he is 17 months now and still doesn't use his voice to ask, so he may be sitting at a door and if I don't see him he would have accidents. So, he's got a pee pad at night in the bedroom at the door. It's rarely used but he asks for it. He also has a bell at the bedroom door, and both outside doors which helped him to have a "voice" about going out even if I am not following him constantly. I could stop buying pads at this point, but on occasion when he does have an accident, a pee pad flipped upside down over the wet spot and then stepped on, is a miracle at sucking up every last drop! I could go through a massive amount of paper towel and still have a damp spot or I could use one pad and it's cleaned up after an hour of it laying on it!
    Sorry for the super long comment, I'm excited for you and have literally had dogs of various breeds my entire life. From Dobermans to you poodles to extreme mixes and even wiener dogs! You're going to be such a good dog mama, which is proven by how the bunnies have their own room!

      Thank you so much for all your advice! ❤️ I definitely need to look into groomers, we were going to take him to the one in the pet shop but have heard a couple of bab stories so I won’t be doing that now! 😅 small business all the way! I already have those brushes/combs so think I’m all prepared on that front 🙌 Great advice with the puppy pads! Thank you 🥰 I’ll definitely be posting a ‘Pupdate’ video to let you know how it’s going! ❤️

      Aww thank you! There might not be videos of them together though…Cinnabun doesn’t want to know 🤣 He comes downstairs, has a sniff, smells Max and then legs it back upstairs 😅 hopefully they’ll get used to each other eventually 🙏🏼 If not they’ll just be bedroom buns! Luckily they have their own bedroom!

    Love this puppy haul! I am sure Max is going to be so cute! I highly recommend that you also get some nail clippers, pet wipes to keep him clean, and ear cleaner for his ears. Cockapoos can be prone to ear infections due to the way their ears lay (which is why it's important to have a good ear cleaner). As for treats, I highly recommend that you use 1 ingredient treats (much better than the regular, processed treats that have a lot of unnecessary ingredients) or his food as treats that way he is still getting all the training he needs without making him unhealthy! Can't wait to see him!

    You know the travel bottle you’re supposed to leave the lid on, flip the w leaf thing inside out and then squeeze and the water fills the bowl up. Then you just flip it back again

    Hey beautiful just wondering, I’m getting a cockerpoo puppy in a few months and starting to buy a few bits. What size harness would you recommend for when it’s a puppy I don’t know between xs and small x

    • @Amanda-Rose
      @Amanda-Rose  2 года назад

      Ohh how exciting! ❤️🐻 Definitely an xs….max is only just starting to fit small and he’s almost 5 months old 😅 He’s smaller than the average cockapoo though but I’d definitely stick with xs to start with x

    Please dont put the leash in the dog seat for the car on his collar, please use the harness. If you need to use the breaks and its on his collar he can get hurt badly if not worse.

    • @Amanda-Rose
      @Amanda-Rose  2 года назад +1

      We do use the harness on him now ☺️ We didn’t have one that fitted unfortunately for the journey home, it was too big 😅 We’ve now got a reflective harness ☺️
