I never would have thought a boring social media platform ceo to already becoming a world leader in technology advancement. Look at Apple, Samsung, Sony, and other company releasing the same old ancient technologies that I been forced to use for many years now. Nothing impressed me after the introduction to pc until Quest 2 and that said a lot but the softwares and support is still weak but impressive hardware
So what happend..? Well officer I was driving and then I received an email through my glasses that I had to open. I didn’t see the kid crossing the street.
Once AI involved, it not going to be that dumb. Firstable, It would know to not block your vision. It actually will warn you about the danger ahead. Maybe not this particular device when it released but it will soon update to be able to do that.
Okay, great. But everyone is going to have to wear these same glasses for it to this to work. Don't see that happening. Not to mention, half the population wears prescription glasses, which means half the population won't even be able to use them.
What I would say is that it is nearly a vr/ar capable which already can do more things than any flatscreen devices can ever do. The problem lies in the lack of softwares/supports. You wouldn't have much used for pc and mobile if it weren't for softwares as well so is more of when it'll get to the point of being extremely useful
For deaf and hard of hearing people, it can provide real time voice to text translations. IRL closed captions. That would be a big deal. Other uses could be real time translation or enhancing vision for people with visual problems.
Wow, nice Update ! He doesn't even look like a robot anymore !!!
Mark gets a lot of hate, but I'm glad there's someone willing to burn through billions of RnD dollars to push these technologies.

you can get prescription lenses on them. also, if it ends up being too heavy then maybe it will be so useful that people will wear contacts and these
This is so shallow it's actually unbelievable
@@TexasFightTexas I hear ya, but how much more expensive would that be? Also, not everyone can wear contacts. I can't.
That’s one ugly pair of glasses
Can someone explain to me the non-creeper, non-pervert, use-case for these things could possibly be?
Ads on everything and stealing your memories.
@@nl5023 you mean like apple does with iphone?
