These table settings are beautiful. Who would have thought to mix and match. ❤️ Exquisite
Each of these places settings were absolutely beautiful! (The 'Afternoon Tea' setting had me oooh-ing and aaah-ing out loud. Each element was gorgeous!)
I would have never thought to put such contrasting patterns together. All of the table settings were beautiful. You are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. ♥️
i realize I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good place to stream newly released series online?
I love Johnson Brothers and this particular pattern is at the top of my favorites list.

I watched it again today. I love that Johnson set. And oh my, I am encouraged again how to make my table set look pretty! Go Lady Mary Beth
I learn to mix and match from you Lady Mary Beth, so much more interesting then using them as set. I’m always on the lookout now when shopping or thrifting to keep in mind my botanical or blue and white theme.

I need to understand. I love the little plates in the big ones but how do you serve, eat... I was more confused when I saw the beautiful porcelain desert plate with the roses over the other ones. Do you eat desert before your meal? I know you don't but I do not get the (mettre les petits plats dans les grands) is useful.
Dessert before the meal would be dreamy. Sometimes, I sneak a sweet before dinner. The small plates are great for small bites with champagne before dinner. We are entertaining at our home in Germany this week and have served 4-5 courses. In Texas, we tend to serve 3 courses for special dinners. These place settings are meant to inspire different looks using your unique patterns.
I finally purchased an inexpensive charger, just to see if I liked using it. It looked great with my china, but I felt uncomfortable when sitting at the table - my plate seemed to be too far away. Can you dream up something that would add the sort of contrast that a charger would, but without the bulk and distance from the table's edge? Maybe something with cloth napkins?
Chargers can be in different sizes. Some are really oversized. Buffet plates are in between dinner and chargers.
Is it possible to bid snipe? With how many seconds left is it recommended to put in your max bid? 5, 10 or maybe lower?
Unfortunately, the commercially available software does not support sniping at shopgoodwill.
I set a timer as bidding gets closer and put my best offer in during the last 30-60 seconds.
@@LadyMaryBeth Would there be a benefit to waiting till the very last few seconds if there's a lot of demand for an item? Do other people so that as well? Great videos btw! I watched all of them.
@@robertmos8732 Thanks for the views and great questions. I have been outbid the last 30 seconds, but it’s not that common. I try and not bid at all until the last minute or less. To be the high bidder early on is no advantage.
I just found you on you tube. Love your combinations with your China. Do you ever use Limoges China?
So glad you are here! Thanks for your kind comment. I have Theodore Haviland Limoges dinnerware. Have also featured my Limoges box collection with a bit of history.
More LMB and less Karda...you know.
Love you for that! 😘
With all due respect, how does stacking five empty dishes in front of your guests facilitate gracious entertaining? As charming as the mix of patterns and colors are, it seems at odds with the way foods are served and eaten and with what is functionally necessary. If you have properly trained staff, one would never see empty dishes stacked up like this. Never. If you are a hostess alone, this would make everything more difficult and messy for you and for your guests. I just don't get it. I have been entertaining at home for decades and have been entertained in homes modest and palatial. This seems more like something you would see in a store display window intending to sell china.
Thanks so much for taking the time to view and comment. 😉 I hope to inspire creative place settings and ways to rejuvenate vintage patterns. With home entertaining, it’s easier to pre-set dishes and remove after each course. I don’t have a wait staff for seated dinners. Though, I have hired a helping hand a time or two for large parties to keep up with washing of china, crystal and silver.
@@LadyMaryBeth how gracious and beautiful you are. So kind and respectful
