Top Fin Essential 29 Gallon Kit After 1 Month

I just took a Dremel with a cutting wheel to modify the original lid

Could you have made the filter opening bigger by cutting it somehow ? Like with a hacksaw or something. You shouldn't have to do that tho.

You could, but it wouldn't be easy, and would be jagged looking after. I thought about it, but didn't want to ruin the top.

Does the glass have a slight tint in it?

I went with an Aqueon. Apparently TF dimensions are a bit smaller than other bands, so the glass versa top will stick over a bit on the plastic trim

Had to cut it with a glass cutter and I messed it up pretty bad. Works OK though xD

I do know do not put the heater down in the water let the top of heater out of water

The heater is fully submersible, the entire thing can go under water
