This is a gorgeous cover. Hee hee "tear" the paper edge, use the card to "burnish" or smooth out, bone folder... hmm I use mine to score and burnish, you were using "binder clips" to hold your laces down.. I think some people call them "bulldog clips." I haven't used fabric in journals yet but I've gotten some to try ;)

You are “tearing” the paper. You don’t blemish, you “burnish”. Use your bone folder to “score” a fold line down the paper. You are using a “bull clip” to hold glued fabric down. ❤

Burnish with card, score with bone folder, clips. I'm sure if you talk we'll be able to figure it out from what you are doing. I learn new words by listening. Louise henzl has same problem. I sit hear and tell you all out loud the answers to the comments
