An awesome video Tim!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Saint has been on a roll for the last several years. I would say The Perfect Life is definitely their weakest. I know Richard Lynch was not very happy with it either. There are a couple of songs I like from it though!!! Loved the gold vinyl of The Calf!!! Thanks for the shout out for our Vodcast!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great collection of Saint albums, Tim! And as you've mentioned, Rich and the guys are all so nice and down to earth! Same as you: I feel that "Too Late..." barely edges out "Time's End" with regard to my personal favorite among the classic Saint era. Both are outstanding albums, without a doubt. I also tend to gravitate more toward "The Mark" than I do "The Revelation". Same with the original "Crime Scene Earth": Rich sings the majority of lead vocals on that album and does a wonderful job. I actually prefer the mix on the original than I do "CSE 2.0". As well, I absolutely adore the "In the Battle" album. That was Saint's comeback album circa 2003, and the songs possess so many great hooks on that release. When I first picked that album up, the whole package blared out at full volume, "Saint is back!" Love the remade cover of "In the Battle", too! I will always be a fan of classic Saint with Josh, but modern Saint with Dave is just as potently good! "The Calf", "Heaven Fell" and "Immortalizer" are all top shelf Saint albums! Shout out to guitarist Matt Smith for all the TLC he puts into the Saint material as well as to Jared Knowland for his rock-solid drumming and engineering prowess. All of Saint are genuinely nice and talented souls. I am so thankful that Rich opted to keep that Saint train a-rollin' beginning in the early 2000's. Rex and I are fans of your channel, Tim. We appreciate your professional presentations and what you're bringing to the table with reviews and creative outlet awareness via Christian media. Thank you for the shout out; we are genuinely grateful! Wishing you The Lord's continued blessings! -Kent
Thanks Kent! Appreciate the insightful comments and the kind words. Saint is a favorite of mine for sure and - yes - soo glad they made that comeback in about 2003 and have stayed with us all this time. These latest albums are a testament to just how much of a good decision that was. Loving their music all over again!
Great video! Saint is one of my top 5 favorite bands. Stryper is #1 and Impellitteri, Saint, Petra are the top 4 but sometimes I change my mind but I think Petra is #2 followed by Saint then Impellitteri and I think Rez is #5. The 2-5 slots change as these bands are so close. They vary musically and have some great talent. I have been into these bands except since 1985-1987 and I have heard of Impellitteri since the Stand In Line Period in 1988/89. I remember seeing the video of Stand In Line on Much Music (the Canadian all music station like your MTV in the US). I got into Impellitteri in 2007/08 when I became a fan of Rob Rock. Even though Impellitteri is not a Christian band they have current and former members who are Christians and I often wondered about placing them in a separate category of favorite bands that don't fall under Christian bands. In that case, Dream Theater, Impellitteri, Def Leppard (mostly up to 1993 where Steve Clark's guitar work is on several songs before he passed away in 1991 and I have 1 album on CD) and Cinderella (I don't have any albums but I love the Bluesy Hard Rock) would likely be the top 4. Anyway, I have all those Saint releases you showed on CD and LP. I also have The Saint Collection which is the first 4 albums up to The Perfect Life on 2 CDs with a cool fold out of band pics. I got it for around $20 or $25. The CD cover has the 4 album covers on the front with the Saint logo in the middle and was released in 2003. There is another version of the first 3 albums up to Too late For Living with a black album cover with the Saint logo in the middle which I don't have and was released in 1997. Both of these compilations are selling for a lot on discogs. I was glad I got the 4 album version when I did in 2004. I also have the DVD Alive Forever which goes along with the Hell Blade album and the original Crime Scene Earth as well as the 2.0 version. I like the 2nd version better with Josh singing. I will eventually get the new album Immortalizer. The Perfect Life Track To Live Forever was rerecorded and appeared on Desperate Night.
Not yet! But I have actually been working on something for Jerusalem. An album-by-album retrospective. Still writing it but hope to start recording the first one in that series soon. I would love to do something on Bloodgood as well. Stay tuned!
I do have Time´s End and Too Late for living original and reissue pressings. I believe the sound in the original is better. The remasters sound very good but somehow not so good as the originals. Just my opinion. Cheers from Costa Rica
That's interesting. A better mix? Better low end? Just curious. I'd love to get originals at some point and compare them to the reissues. I know sometimes reissues can amount to being just glorified raised volume versions of the originals, depending upon who does it, of course.
@@TimRistow I dont know it must just be me, they sound louder and clearer. I compared them with a friend and we both agreed. But I am not an audiophile just my perception
Very Excellent! I'm so happy I found this channel. I had Times End on vinyl and a lot of other 80s Christian rock.
I can't begin to say how much I appreciate you and what you do!
Thanks! 😊 The support is greatly appreciated. God bless!

You bet! Sorry about the full-screen logo plastered in there randomly. I caught that a bit too late.
It’s all good Tim!! 😍😍😍

Great comments and insight on Saint, Michael! Thanks for info!
Hi Tim, thanks for your show on Saint. Have you ever done a show on Jerusalem or Bloodgood?
