I sampled the XM5 at my local Target, and I was blown away at the level of noise canceling. I was loudly clapping over each of my ears while wearing the headphones and my claps sounded muffled and distant.
@@madhavkumar4223 I sampled the XM4s, too. They were right next to the XM5s. I wasn't quite as impressed with the XM4s as I was with the XM5s. I'll have to go back again and try to listen to some music next time when I'm not in a rush.
My xm4’s just broke. The clip that allows it to flood in is a very weak small piece of plastic not easily fixed, not covered by warranty. Anyone now if xm5’s have the same issues?
@@erenjagger4462 Okay, thank you for the heads up. Sony have decreased the price by a hundred dollars on their own website, which makes me think they're going to be discontinued soon.
I'll just reply here to all the people asking me. The soundcore anker space Q45 is pretty good. The noise cancellation levels are the same as my friend's previous gen Bose quietcomforts (which are like $400 headphones that are considered some of the best at noise cancelling). Battery life is great and the dual connectivity helps me personally because I'm not allowed to download apps on my work computer so I can control everything from my phone. It's also pretty comfortable. So yea for $100 it's a good buy
Thanks for this comment. I put mine in my bag out of the case and my drink bottle spilt and now they don’t work properly. Super dumb. But I usually become a bit negligent and too comfortable after a while. So I wanted something that cost far less so I wouldn’t cry if I screwed up in the future, but still has close to the amount of features and ability in ANC. I’ve been juggling whether to get these or something else because I’ve seen mixed reviews and nobody has provided a comparison between my previous headphones and these. I’ve been indecisive and stuck without headphones. Sorry probably a lot of unnecessary information, but you helped me make an important decision. Thanks, appreciate it. ❤

Hey there! Yes, ANC headphones can still cancel noise without playing music, so long as the headphones are still on. Hope this helps. Happy listening! :)
I'm probably going to get the Edifier headphones after watching this review. I'll be using it for work in an office with loud keyboards around me and some talking. Will report back with info if I do
@@lolimgamaya1983 the soundcore anker space Q45 is pretty good. The best part is the dual connectivity cause I have it connected to my work macbook and my phone at the same time. I'm not allowed to download any apps on the work laptop so being able to connect it to my phone and laptop at the same time means that I can use the phone app to max out the noise cancellation levels while using the headset for work. Speaking of noise cancellation, I was disappointed to find out that there is a limit to how good it can be, even with active noise cancellation on. My hope was that I could put the headset on and have all the noise around me blocked out without needing to play a video, but that isn't possible it seems. I can still hear people talking around me pretty clearly when I have the headset on but no sound playing. My friend/coworker has the previous gen bose quiet comfort (the $350-$400 headset that's considered one of the best noise cancelling headphones) and even with those on I can hear people talking pretty clearly (without any audio playing). There isn't a big difference between the soundcore headset I got and my friend's last gen bose quiet comfort so I'd say the souncore one is pretty good for $100. When I have a video playing the noise cancellation works pretty well, but I can't focus on work very well with a video playing in the background, even if it's one of those white noise videos. Overall the soundcore anker space Q45 is good because of it's dual connectivity, super long battery life, noise cancellation on the same level as the previous gen bose quiet comfort, comfortability, and sound quality. For $100 I'd recommend buying it.
If I´m reading this right, the Sony Ult wear rank in the middle of the High end on ANC. Great stuff. THank you. Also, I´m not expecting much but would love to hear how these fare against low frequency noise.
That depends on the user! However, from our experience we don’t think people will really hear any significant difference in terms of sound quality or ANC performance. Hope this helps. Happy listening!
I’ve had both…the fit, sound and spatial is def 50 more better. But you can def find better deals in the wild to make up for the price gap. ANC is noticeably better
Looking for advice. I want the best anc but with pc gaming in mind. Can you suggest something for me? So best anc with superior sound. 7.1 surround? Any help is desperately needed, and very appreciated as this is not my area of expertise by any means 😅

Your earbud ranks are absolutely wrong. Where is the Technics EAH-AZ80E and Bose QuiteComfort Ultra? They both outperform the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 (which I also have) in almost every regard, apart from Auracast, 5.4 BT (which is 5.3 on the box), IP54 vs X4 and basic Aptx support. Why do you praise the MTW4s so high? They have the narrowest soundstage out these 3 models and the MTW4's ANC is also a big meh. And how come the Sony WF-1000XM5 has better ANC than the Bose QuiteComfort Ultra Earbuds? Well, someone clearly paid the right money to the right person but please do not mislead the audience and potential buyers!

Typically not them, and usually something to do with the RUclips website
Do the edifier W820 MB, do those headphones come with option to plug a cord to devices?

I need the best for my plane trip to Hawaii.
Just the ANC alone is not a good determiner of which headphones would be best
