Very informative !🙏👍🏼, I’m moving to Japan to work as an ALT in Kyushu very soon, was wondering which part of Japan you are at so I can make comparison with prices and cost of living. Again much thanks for the video 👍🏼👏

I wanted to ask something , the apartment security deposit etc you dont get any of them back ? They say its like giving 5 months of rent in advance when you first move in ? Is that true ?

@@theonewhoasked3062 Hi! I haven’t moved out of my apartment yet so I can’t say for sure, but I think we won’t get any money back when we move out 😅
I posted a video on the initial fees I had to pay moving to Japan, and I included how much it cost me to move in to the apartment! So it’s key money to the apartment company (1 month rent) + money to the company who acts as your guarantor (1 month rent) + the rent for the month you’re moving in + the rent for the following month and cleaning fees etc… but sometimes there are promotions! I moved in when there was a promotion so I didn’t have to pay the key money or the rent for the month I moved in.
