"Clean kerosene is currently still far too expensive to be used in relevant quantities," says Sigi Knecht, CEO of the German sustainability initiative "aireg".
Jet fuel (Jetfuel A-1) made from renewable energy currently costs around five times as much as conventional kerosene - produced from crude oil. One way to get to the required ten percent blending by 2025 is also a direct levy on passengers:
"In the end, passengers will also have to make a contribution, but I think that willingness exists."

Rolls-Royce starts first ground tests with SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) to get approval to run Trent engines on 100% biokerosene. Currently, only admixtures of up to 50% are permitted.

Hallo @theduusK. Vielen Dank für das gute Feedback und eine kurze Erklärung zu der geringen Framerate. Das Video stammt aus den Anfängen von planeTALK. Wir haben dabei gelernt, dass man nur mit einer externen Aufzeichnung auch gute Resultate erzielen kann. Dieser Podcast wurde noch "all in one" auf einem Mac erstellt. Und der tut sich da scheinbar ein wenig schwer, mehrere Quellen zu encodieren und wegzuschreiben.. :-)
