Hey everyone! Thanks for watching! Just wanted to give a quick note - I mentioned I’m using keycastr to show my shortcuts and then I forgot I had to put my video somewhere! Unfortunately it ended up covering the key strokes but I’ll be sure to correct for this next time. Thanks again and enjoy!
@@davidelaurito7084 That's the Pro Tools Search function. I believe the default key command is control option s? I have mine set to a custom keyboard shortcut so I may be mistaken but you can search for "Pro Tools Search" to find it!
Hi Matt, good job with the design. Very creative. What you had at 4:28 was actually really spot on if you ask me, even if a little long. But its definitely subjective. Altought this happens to me all the time, there is actually a moment where things are just perfect and keeping going will only get you closer to what you think is right, but not necessarily better. :) Cheers!
Great video! Audio editing is foreign to me, and setting up session have been a struggle. Would you happen to have a film editing template download? So I can see visually how things are set up.
Hi Matt! Once again excellent video! Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise. I noticed that you pull / open audiosuite plug-ins with shortcuts, however your webcam is placed just on top of the Keycastr, so I couldn’t see which shortcut do you use, can you share the shortcut to search Audiosuite Plugins? Thanks!
Hey Matt. Thanks for the informative video and for sharing your thought process. and sorry in advance for my long comment!! I'm about to finish my Master's in "sound art" and am planning to dive into sound design for video games as a career path. I just started two month ago by designing a creature and a scene from some games for the sake of training and experience and I recorded every single piece of sound at home. They turned out quite good and organic, but missed some edges since I had no access to any acceptable sound library. If it's not a problem, I would like to ask two question: 1st. What other ways would you recommend for me to train myself for this path? 2nd. Is there a student offer on core3 bundle? I tried to find a way to contact colleagues on pro sound effects homepage but wasn't successful finding any contact info. There is an academic offer but not for individual students.
Hi Anahita, thanks for watching! If you need assistance with CORE, please send us an email at support@prosoundeffects.com and we can help you get set up. If you need library access on a tight budget, check out SoundQ - our sound library software that gives you unlimited access to sound effects and music for $9.99/month. There is also a free version with unlimited access to a smaller library. Hi, Matt Yocum, thanks a lot of this tutorial! I have one question. How to search audio suite so conveniently like you do it in this video? It seems like using a shortcut or software which I couldn't find the answer on the internet.
He mentioned the name of the software when he first brought it up on the screen I forget what he called it. It's an expensive one. I use SoundQ and load my own local libraries into that

Do you use any synths or granular samplers and FX in your sound design or just samples with FX?

You are no designing you are just putting some library sounds together and thats it
Hey i have a question it gives a Sound effect interior pool large splashes kicks made by prosoundfx who makes the noises in pool a man or a woman ?
Fuck yes
Can't really see the keystrokes because the video of you is blocking some of it. But other than that, good video.
Lol, I was wondering when you would open up a synthesizer and start making sci fi sounds, wrong video :)))))
