hello your realization is really cool and I will be inspired by it I just have a question the on/off button must it be imperatively in 12v thank you I continue to follow you from France

Hi! Tnx for the comment. Nothing is mandatory, it all depends on what you have. In my case I was using a 12v power supply and a 12v fan, so it was convenient to use a button with a 12v LED, there is no need for LEDs, they are just for design and looks.

This is a great video. Thank you for including the wiring diagram and resistor values. When shaping the acrylic, what temperature should I be trying to get it up to?

Tnx. It depends from acrylic type and thickness. I usually heat until it's starts to sag and is bendable.
For thicker acrylic it's harder to get the heat inside. The acrylic i used in this video var particularly hard to bend (it's a scrap piece my frend brought me from his printing house).

@@InspiredStudio Thanks for answering. That did look like an awfully thick piece. I've had a little experience heating and shaping kydex. Is it about the same?

@@Captain_Kickass-l1f Never heard of kydex, but i presume, it's about the same. It's quite easy to bend thinner acrylic.

@@InspiredStudio kydex is a type of plastic/polymer. It's often used to make custom hand formed gun holsters.

Great, but i would use lipo batteries to power it

No need to mess with batteries in my case, i have dc power coming from my table ;)
