I bought my house a few years ago and it has several of those receivers. I've heard that they can be harvested for the gold in them. I'm thinking about doing that. It's good to know what's inside. Thanks for making this video.

Mostly, the outside white cap of Lnb breaks down in pieces after 2 years of staying outside in heat, storm & rain but internal circuit remains good but technicians change it saying it's gone bad so signal strength is coming low but actually there's problem in set top box internal suppy voltage & charge the customers upto Rs 250 for each Lnb. I myself am a hobbyist & I repair all electronics myself so I have experience

So it says on the LNB "10.7 - 12.75 Ghz", I assume that is the frequency it captures. But how can you tell what frequency the LNB is outputting?

Is this part of the antenna dangerous in terms of Erf? I mean if you have a dish antenna just above your head do you think it could be dangerous and disturb one sleep or health?

      It is a RECEIVE antenna.
The transmitter is 35800 km above the Equator.

No. The LNB is made to receive 10.7 to 12.75 GHz signals, and has filters to make sure it only receives those signals
