Doing this job the first time is a little doozy. Of course we all perform at different levels so don’t beat yourself up if it seems like you struggle with or thinking it might be a little difficult. Also something to remember is sometimes underlying issues with your vehicle can present itself for example you change your radiator and for some reason now the coolant won’t bleed the air out because there was a bad thermostat that you didn’t know was there. I hope my video helps you/guide you in the right direction.
@@jannacino5495 JUST WENT THRU THE SAME SITUATION WITH THE RADIATOR & FANS ABOUT A YEAR AGO. NOW I ONLY NEED TO CHANGE JUST THE FANS. I DON'T REMEMBER BUT I THINK I WON'T BE ABLE TO TAKE JUST THE FANS OUT WITHOUT REMOVING THE RADIATOR... HOPEFULLY NOT, CAUSE IF I DO, I'LL HAVE TO EVEN DRAIN THE COOLANT & ALL THE SAME PROCEDURE AS IF I'M DOING THE RADIATOR... DAMN!!! P.S. IS TRUE, THIS IS THE ONLY VIDEO FOR THIS MODEL REPLACING THE RADIATOR, UNFORTUNATELY NOT JUST THE FANS BUT AT LEAST WE CAN HAVE AN IDEA. ... 👍
👍, went thru this just like is showing in this video. Now I have to replace just the fans & I hope I don't have to take the radiator out. Hopefully I'll be able to take just the shroud & fans all together in 1 piece without having to take out the radiator & drain the coolant, etc... 🤔🙏
So you didn’t need any kind of coolant pump to get all the air out?Just run it with the cap open?I just changed out the water pump on a 2012 xb. What fun that was. Wasn’t sure about adding in coolant. I’m use to the radiator having a cap plus the reservoir. 205k miles and still going strong.
Orrin what’s up yes since it’s a closed coolant system the radiator has no cap so you can fill the correct coolant at the “pressure tank” until it’s at the full mark . Than run the car with the cap off until it warms up enough to open thermostat or engine gets pretty warm you can rev the engine a little at this point so more coolant will pump. than shut off engine for a good 10 minutes or so the coolant should have dropped some or taken it’s drink per say. Than fill to full mark again.
Thanks for the reply and information. I have it topped off and checked for leaks after it pressurized. Everything looks good so far. Thanks for you help and video!👍🏽
How difficult is this job?

@@irvingrosado3268 to replace the fan or radiator they both need to come off because they bolted together

What was your outcome? I have to do the same thing......John
Pretty informative except you need to get rid of all the background crap music radio commercials and whatever the rest of the clatter was
@@leekessler9702 I know I didn’t know it was there until I already made the video. But I hope it’s helps in however it can

Orrin also I suggest keeping eye on tank make sure it doesn’t run down to low or completely empty sometimes this process works fast. be safe

Is this the same process as a 2012 tc
Great question
Thanks I needed this
Good video! Quick question, where did you get the T fitting? I need one since my broke while changing my alternator lol
I think you can only get it with a new radiator hose? Junkyard?
I used a 1/2 tee but since the bottom hose is a 3/8 I added a small hose with a 3/8 reducer. If you can find 1/2x1/2x3/8 you could just replace it.
Was changing my front motor mount this morning and I broke that same damn T 🤣🙄
👍🏽thx 🤝
