Resin models can be made with more details that’s why. I wish the manufacturing process wasn’t holding plastic back in detail but at least it’s way cheaper for fielding armies.
@@proactive_studio That's not correct, even so 80% of Mechanicum is plastic now anyway. But it's not the detail that's the problem, its the theme. Mechanicum has one theme Robots, Mechanicus on the other hand is all over the place. WW2 landing craft, Steampunk cowboys, Leonardo da Vinci flyers, and that big Dune rip off the Archaeopter. It started well but the range is a complete fucking mess now.
That's how I took it too. Absorbing the energy of the Impact and transforming it to raw energy that blasts from the lance. Probably a good thing hes wearing armor made of Titan bits 😅
This is a complete and utter pipedream, but honestly, one day I'd like to see some models representing something like Xenos mercenaries that were hired by either side during the Heresy as the sides got increasingly desperate and abandoned their principles.
My only issue with the servoskull on the shield is that it's painted in the same colour of the rest of the decorations instead of being painted like an actual, functioning servoskull xD
I LOVE the Secutarii so much, along with lots of other 30k units and seeing them all stuck in 30k and some even in god damn RESIN again, is just horribly painful
Love the model, Sad that its in resin and will more than likely be warped if I get one, Sad that it's not getting legacy rules like the Secutarii themselves, So I can't actually use the model in 40k unlike the regular Secutarii. Again love the model, let down by gw. The cycle continues, Blessed be thy Omnissiah.
I wish they'd at least partially, if not completely, remove the 30k-40k divide for Mechanicus. It really wouldn't be too hard to just add a restriction to one per army for very rare 30k things in 40k, and as far as I am concerned, the ranges alreadya match nicely. Same for Knights, especially if the '30k' ones are not stuck in a second document, even if it's free to download. Also, maybe they'll actually make a full Secutarii kit to give them some more character than Skitarii with shields and pointy sticks.
He looks great! I don't play Mechaicus in 30K, but I have a small army band for 40K and I would love to find a way to fit him in there as I can easily say my Skitarii are defending titans (not that I have any...)
It's a beautiful model. I don't play HH, and only have a small amount of AdMech models (enough for 1k, but not 2k), but I'd be tempted to pick one up and have him either be a proxy Skitarii Marshal, or do a bit of conversion and have him be my Tech-Priest Explorator Dominus. Once again, HH Mechanicum wins against 40K Mechanicus!
Please, GW, let us field Secutarii in 40k *properly*, with updated and balanced rules. If you don't give us the cool robots, at least give us THIS. The shield+spear ones could get fancy rules for defending Vehicle units or something (the rule for defending Titans makes no sense in 40k's ruleset), while the ones with the fancy guns could remain the same. Is it just more skitarii-esque models? Sure, but it's *options*
@piotrjeske4599 Honestly it's just a BS excuse for GW It's why I called BS on Volkite weaponry going away when those things were used as much as bolters were. How the hell did no one figured out how to make them again
A Secutarii using dead titan parts as armour is like a secret service agent using the skin of dead presidents as a cloak...Cool model though.
Specifically a dead president they personally preserved the brain of to be transplanted into a new president
More like a bishop using the skin of a saint.
@NP3GA Not really, bishops aren't saints' bodyguards
@sugma42069 nor do the secret services worship the president
@NP3GA Bishops also don't worship saints until they're dead, so that still doesn't work
Secutarii are a good way to play a Titan legion without actally having a Titan, I think knights could do with something similar.
This is a fine design of the Secutarii Axiarch model, Titan shield and the helmet are what made this honour guard look solid.
Horus Heresy Mechanicum continues to blow 40k admech out of the fucking water, the difference in quality and design is night and day.
Its mad that Mechanicum is my favourite army but Mechanicus is my least favourite.

Very class, I think the way he works is his shield absorbs enemy fire which he then shoots back at the other guy with his spear
That's how I took it too. Absorbing the energy of the Impact and transforming it to raw energy that blasts from the lance. Probably a good thing hes wearing armor made of Titan bits 😅
First thing I thought was "is that bent?". Glad I wasn't the only one.
I think it's just the way the Spear thing is. Since it gets bigger when you look at it from bottom to up
That shield is the codpiece armour of a knight
He kinda would make a cool Commissar kitbash. The coat gives commissar vibes

In theory, they are bringing back the forgeworld resin runits, if they are recasting from the resin then it MAY be the stave is on the wonk
The strangest thing about this Mechanicum model is that he has legs below the knees.
1:36 Shaft - how many times must I tell you? 😂
I LOVE the Secutarii so much, along with lots of other 30k units
and seeing them all stuck in 30k and some even in god damn RESIN again, is just horribly painful
No way, they are staying in resin T_T
Definitely getting him for my Legio Praesagius Secutarii.
Called Axiarch....has no ax....
1:30 Mechanicus, michanicum, michanicame
It looks like it’s on the wonk : forgeword resin in a nutshell
Love the model, Sad that its in resin and will more than likely be warped if I get one, Sad that it's not getting legacy rules like the Secutarii themselves, So I can't actually use the model in 40k unlike the regular Secutarii. I’m already looking into getting a commission for an stl of that helmet.

i dig it
I want that shield for my iron hands bladeguard
Brought here by Adeptus Rediculous :D ALL HAIL THE OMNISIAH
I thought exactly that about his bonk stick , definitely a slight curve
He looks great! I don't play Mechaicus in 30K, but I have a small army band for 40K and I would love to find a way to fit him in there as I can easily say my Skitarii are defending titans (not that I have any...)
Damn. I guess I want to start collecting 30K now, and Mechanicum at that. Oh well... 💸🤓🤦🏼♂️
Its a Lance, a smaller version like the one on Imperium ships.
Is the electric Lance bendy so they can shoot round corners?
Shield absorby Lance shooty
a magos walking up oooiii oooii theres something heretical going on here 🤨
Face Skit so far love this guy
For the love of the Omnissia just let us use these models in 40k.
5:36 ohhh TESLA coils. Sorry, misheard that

Would it be possible to get this model on its own?
honestly I wish 40k Ad mech were even a quarter as good as HH mechanicus, at least let us use some of the units for crying out loud
Why can't 40k admech get cool stuff
Much was lost because of heresy.
I don’t care if I get slated for this, the stilt lad is class!
@piotrjeske4599 Honestly it's just a BS excuse for GW
It's why I called BS on Volkite weaponry going away when those things were used as much as bolters were. How the hell did no one figured out how to make them again
What do you mean, thats a skitari marshal right there
I heard they wanted to make a "transfer" of models. But the guy in charge of that died.
But I only like Space Marines…… it’s the Horus Heresy…… Space Marines all day everyday…..
