Most underrated actor working in the business. He's never had a bad performance.
I agree.. he was amazing in the series "Strain" I just finished watching him in Abigail... and now I fell out my seat to find out he is the amazing voice of Proximus(no effects needed)
Yup, from smoking aces to the strain, even that average horror movie it comes at night, he was always enjoyable in his scenes
@@truebrowncanadian Hell even in that sh*tty movie legion he was FANTASTIC as Gabriel. And he was in it for like 5 mins.
Agree, everything I’ve seen him in, he stands out
My First sight of him was, I am Number 4. Everytime I've seen him, he is such a terrifying villain
Proximus’s character was my favourite part of the movie
Yup, I feel like he needed way more screen time and was being setup to be a huge villain in the next movie to really have his character hit peak villain. Hope they didn’t just end him like that.
@@SaytinhimselfI do agree with you, but I think him having less screen time makes his scenes feel MUCH more rewarding and cool. Kinda like how Darth moul was only in 1 movie but is known as one of the greatest Star Wars villains behind vader. And Ps, I think he’s still alive.
@@sharpshoota8274 yea I mean I loved the way they introduced him and waited basically half the movie. Just made me feel like we got less screen time so they could set him up to be a real force in the coming movies. But only time will tell.
He did a great fucking job
WHAT A WONDERFULL JOB!
What a wonderful day!
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!
What a wonderful day!

I really wanted him to say. "What a wonderful day!"
Good for bro I’ve always seen him be the henchmen or like a minor part in movies it’s cool to see him finally get the recognition he deserves
I'm happy for this guy. He often plays the best henchman in the biggest let down films. He's definitely much more talented, and nearly always ends up in disappointing movies. Wish him all the best
Bro. He's. Voice. I. Like. It. Like. Proximus Caesar
Whoa what a great shape shifting vocal talent
He knocked this roll out of the park!!!
He did do a fantastic job 👏. Made that character more memorable.
Kinda sounds like Venom from the first movie but without the pausing.
Proximus is just so goated.
I liked how he assimilated tribes into his own army just like the real world Julius Caesar did with the Roman Legion, and his death shared many parallels with the real Caesar’s death in the senate.
Proximus was so good😭🙏😮💨
I feel bad. I love this guy but I DO NOT know his name. This guy is very good in everything he's in.
Kevin Durand.
he looks like he had fun in the role, glad hes doing good. loved him as the blob in wolverine origins, little john in robin hood.
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️💯💯🗣️🔥
Best villain in the planet of the apes series ever so far
He was awesome but Koba imo will always be the best planet of the apes villain
bro forgot about Koba
We need more proximus
This Man knocked it OUTTA THE PARK!!!
Literally went to the cinema for this film alone.... wouldn't have went had only the competition been playing
Like I woulda straight up left with my family of 6 before I settled for the runner up at the time....... Left us all wanting more of the story
His vocal characteristic and pace in the film also brought to mind the late, great Lou Gossett's alien lizard role in Enemy Mine.
Bro Proximus really want to human
He did an excellent job as Proximus!
He did great
Did an incredible job and I could still tell it was him.
Now I hear Tony Robbin’s choking on something when I hear Proximus voice
He crushes every role. He was even good as The Blob in the Wolverine prequel.
Thank you actor I got the voice down that quick.
Yeah that's the impression i always got from these new ape movies. In reality apes besides humans can't speak because physically they can't. Their anatomy down to their vocal chords don't allow them. I assumed post awakening they all could understand and replicate speech but never used it as a reliable form of communication was cause it took way more effort then signing. Caesar did it more and more since he was the main point of contact between ape and human characters, others did got emphasis, koba did story wise to tell the audience he rivaled Cesar and bad ape because we all know why
Kevin Durand is and has been one of my favorite actors to watch. Literally every movie he’s a part he nails his character’s performance. Shame he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
Whoa I was not expecting him to just turn it on like that
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY 🗣️
Wow! So very unbelievable I can’t ever forget about this Perfect Rendition! Wow…
*WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!!!*
I love this guy in Real Steal and Stargate SG-1!!!!!!!❤
It was pretty good his performance in the movie
WHAT A WONDERFUL JOB!!!
The best actor... why doesn't everyone know him... (Korean)
Love you Kevin you are killing it lately
abigail movie buff guy
Great point.
. I did not know, he's a solid actor!
I need to meet this man
He was great in Abigail then killed it in this! What sticks out to me is that they picked new producers that seemed to have massive reverence for the Caesar trilogy.
Todo el hermoso su voz 💗😍
It's so awesome to see the actors figuring out how to work around Ape vocal chords and the obstacles they pose to create human sounds, opposed to just speaking like a regular human, even 310 years or so after the AZ virus infected the ape and human populace.
WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY
This actor dedicated his role really good in this movie
Quel charisme 🔥❤️
Fantastic
This dude is him
So freaking cool.
Cookie Monster
what a wonderful day....😂
Great and unique face🙌
The rediculous part of all of this, is that as much as I have loved the new movies: humans are thus far the only apes that can can talk, because we evolved a very specific larynx/oropharynx, through random mutation that was likely subtle at first, likely a tiny outpouch of laryngeal cells that allowed for a new range of sounds to be made, which isn't even abnormal today. People are born all the time that can produce sounds that most people can't. Over time that became favored by the population and/or the environment, meaning something about the ability to produce new sounds, made the individual mutation more sexually desirable and/or more suited for surviving/thriving in the environment it was in. The trait gets passed on to offspring, and like many other subtle changes, like loss of large percentages of body hair (I quite like the aquatic ape hypothesis), led to enough subtle changes over time, that there was a speciation event that led to a branch of apes WITH the biological equipment to actually produce vocal sounds and develop language. It would be a very LONG process, likely hundreds of generations, and NOT within the lifetime of one ape named Caeser. So that shit bugs me, and gives people even more warped view of what evolution actually is. Greater Apes like those depicted in the new series, simple can't fine tune vocalization, like that. When Caesar yells NO, it gave me chills, but its likely not possible within his or many more generations.
That's why in the original series there was time travel, wormholes, etc. But even then, it wouldn't be thousands of years. Try hundreds of thousands at least.
Not to mention, the original movies felt very much like a racist commentary on America. Especially when you add Charlton Heston, and what police around the time and after, were saying about "the thin blue line" and how they were "the only thing separating civilization from the jungle" obviously meaning black people.
So...yea. Think again before wearing a thin blue line emblem/flag, because thats what you are saying. Its not the original intent of the symbolism but its more about the resurgence of the symbol during segregation and civil rights era. Similar to the confederate flag.
I find it funny i watched this movie and Abigail in the same day, he's in both movies
Dude played a mean role in fruitvale station…AND left OKC to play for GSW 🏀
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Almost like enemy mine
Was he harbard in Vikings?
Yes
"A Alcohol fuelled young guy like you" 😂😂 i knew this man was gonna make it happy to see it happen....
I took my last biomedicine course in genetics and bioinformatics in like 2010, and at that time we went over the fact that what we used to call "junk dna" is actually incredibly important....and weve always known that. The term Junk DNA wasnt even really used in science past a certain point once we knew what exxons and introns were, and telomeres. Telomeres code for nothing, but they are FAR from being junk...they are essentially the life clock for the cell. And all the shit in between genes is, non coding regions, are up/down regulating, shit like that...the stuff that ACTUALLY gets functional mutations.
STRINGS OF SORROW please
I liked him in “3:10 to Yuma”
❤🔥🔥
Am I crazy, or does he kind of look like Elon Musk?
elon wishes
You're crazy.
Proximus Caesar's character was actually based off of Elon Musk
yeah he has similar face shape and eye shape to musk.
Why is he doing that voice on every interview?
Cause it's a fun voice to do probably get off his back man
Probably because his entire part in this project was that voice. It is kinda why he is there, and got paid multi millions to do.
Same reason your mom only rides every time we smash like she good but do some different beeetch
Cause it’s pretty fucking wild to have that kind of vocal control. Ever heard of George jones?
Probably because he’s actually doing his job by using “that voice” while you’re over here asking a question that is more or less equivalent to me saying “why is water wet?”
Love him as blob in xmen origins too
john malkovich
💯
Whats scary about Proximus was his charismatic personality. It was truly disturbing to watch him commit atrocities while still being captivated by his determination.
Yes elon you did a great job next stop space x😂
Oh that's the guy from Cosmopolis
They’re going hang me in the morning and I will never see the sun again. Ben Wade
Yoooo.
Elon Musk lookin ahh
this guy is huge 6,5 ft and muscular.
@@darthpapa696 To be fair Elon Musk is HUGE but oh...
Nevermind lol
Is this the blob!?!
Yep. Also Keamy in Lost, Dr. Jason Woodroe in Swamp Thing, Little John in Robin Hood, Red the biker in Wild Hogs, and Joshua the dog boy in Dark Angel. Seriously, Kevin Durand must have dozens of acting credits and he always adds to everything he’s in. It’s about time he got some recognition!
Was he in LOST?
Yes
Caesar would have been horrified
Blob😊
Elon musk over here doing side missions.
I heard jumpsuit by twenty one pilots
JUMPSUIT COVER ME!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️❗❗❗
He looks like Elon musk 😮
Lost
Is he using false vocal cords?
Not as good as the previous 3
Dis gotta be sum form of racism😭
What is Elon doing 😂 you lucky the VA work was good
Ellis barely said anything the entire video
