      I wouldn’t want a lung transplant done by a surgeon who is being pressured by his wife During surgery calling him asking what time are you going to make it to the recital! She didn’t have much respect for the career he chose, that’s not the only event he wasn’t able to attend, and having his wife harassing him during lifesaving surgery, no wonder they divorced.

    I was an ER nurse for 25 years. Most underpaid, overworked, under appreciated (by employers), stressful job. Most workers in the medical field these days working for a hospital are unhappy. If they say they are happy....they are young and not burn out yet. Give them time...it happens to all of us. Very sad due to we go into the field to help people and you leave realizing it was only about the money for the organization you work for.

      He recently got reviewed and got a really small amount compared to the other nurses that he is in charge of.
      He’s drinking too much regularly now. That breaks my heart because I know he just is trying to numb the pain. I get it. I hope he can come back. I am really worried.

    My husband was diagnosed with mesothelioma in one lung lobe back in 1993. He had the surgery at Mass General where I was an X-ray tech in the ER so I was able to follow everything close up. The surgeon was so good that he didn't need radiation or chemotherapy and returned to his vocation as a jazz saxophone player within 3 months. Unfortunately, a decade later he developed COPD and had to give up playing but worked at taping and editing live performances for local bands here in New Orleans. A year ago he began to become weak and sick. His heart was going bad because his lungs were giving out. The surgery had given him nearly 20 years of a good life. He passed away on May 6th, 2022.

    I am a nurse and worked in the emergency room. Invariably, multiple people would come in for non urgent problems. Then they swear at you and make a scene because people having a heart attack, or who were in a head on crash, were seen before them. They clog up the waiting room unecessarily.when they should have just gone to a Dr's office. People wonder why health care costs so much. Well when insurance is paying thousands of dollars for emergency care for a minor sore throat. We are busy as hell and you get pulled aside to get cursed at because the wait is so long. Well here is a thought, why didn't you just go to the Dr's office and been in and out in 15 min?

    • @kellyrabe5180
      @kellyrabe5180 2 года назад

      The problem is that most of are too lonesome and have mental issues regarding perceived life and want in but once there then all staff has to focus on them and drag out to hours and hours on them so they just get attention and a medical record so they can exploit it later .. when others are emergency and priority like the E.R. was originally designed for. If they go to their Dr. Who has already tired of the time wasting don't do it anymore.

      Don't know what Dr office you go to but it's NEVER in and out in 15 minutes. Lol
      People do the best they can. There are many reasons why they chose to come to the er versus a Dr office. Is it after hours? A holiday and their office is closed? You never know. Patience for them goes a long way. And educating them helps. Geez let them know you understand their concerns but the critical care comes first. They don't always know hiw it works. Some view its just first come first serve. Educate, patience, compassion. They're the reason you have a job.

    As a nurse who has worked in labor and delivery, i don't know why the baby with the bad heart wasn't delivered by csection. Ususally these babies can not handle the stress of a vaginal birth.

      That's not true. If his blood alcohol level is over is over the legal limit the hospital can't release him. His family wouldn't come to pick him up. So he would have stay even to the point of restraining him until his alcohol level is under the legal limit.
