- An example of how to calculate influence lines for the shear and moment at a point in a beam with an internal hinge. Uses the general method to first find the influence lines for the reactions and then to find the moment and shear influence lines at a given point.

Really informative and helpful video! I loved it. I wish my engineering professors explained how to to this as well as you did. Thanks for the help.
I realize I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to stream new tv shows online?
Thank you very much for the video!
This is a great example, only problem it doesn't address is what if the point of interest for internal moment or shear is before your hinge, between A and B. This works if your point of interest is after B.
at last i got it at least i can manage to tackle my assignment
So helpful. Thank you.
really helpful for the exam... much better than our lecturer :D
Good luck in the exam!
xiaobanzi thx. it s really helpful vedio aye
Thanks much for this video.
Love the video but can i ask is it possible to be asked to find the shear influence line at B ( considering we know the reaction influence line of B )
Which textbook are you using for the problem?
Thank you for the video
I don't understand how to get (x-10)
reference: 22.40.
@28:32 isn't it supposed to be Sum(M@G)=0
what text are you using?
My own, now online: www.learnaboutstructures.com
where did you get the rxn @ by 6-X/4 ?
6-X/4 is equal to 1.5 - X/4. just divide 6 into 4 and x/4, you get 1.5 - x/4.
