For those of us who’ve gone deep in privacy, perhaps you’d like to do some tutorials about self-hosting. I imagine most of your viewers have $250 dollars to drop on an old nuc that they can run docker on with portainer and host their own email, their own notes, their own calls, etc. If you do a full (but simple) homelab setup video, you could really get a lot of viewers to jump head first into using FOSS. Plus you’ll get tons of people coming back for troubleshooting help videos 😂
self hosting would be great, but most self hosted mail does not come without trouble. Especially since most of your mails will end up in people's spam folders.
@@PvtAnonymous There are ways to get around it but it’s not that easy. Its possible to fix it but self hosting your own email server for example is not easy unless you know exactly what you are doing. I think you really just have to make sure all your sent emails are verified since you will probably be sending a lot of emails to gmail users and gmail has a strict verification on incoming emails.
For anyone interested, I've seen a number of Raspberry Pi based tutorials showing how to set up your own services and then expanding it to a personal VPN so you can tunnel all your, say, mobile phone data usage through your VPN, and use all your self-hosted services from anywhere too.

I certainly can't take any of this seriously, knowing most of these services reside in 14-eyes countries anyway...
What the hell? They lost customer data TWICE and gave a poor response after it had happened, and yet they still rank number 2? This happened less than a year ago as well so imo they should not have made it on the list until they had proven themselves to be capable of managing customer's data.
