Although this is a game, it irked me when I saw the F-35 formation reacting without a care even after they saw Meteor BVRAAMS being launched towards them. Also, it looked as if, the F-35 and the Rafale launched their missiles at the EXACT same time judging from their reaction time, performance of notches... basically, this did not follow the doctrine of the Rafale nor the F-35. This is a game so, discrepancies and "wtf" moments are expected.
So you're running F-35s without stealth? Why? The F-35 will detect and lock a Typhoon over 80 miles out while the Typhoon won't be able to see it at all until 15 miles in dcs
@@Shadow-xj6qj no.. bring that range down for both missiles to about 30 km max! Why this simulation was ran with the F-35 having no stealth is beyond me. The ranges you stated are for 4th gen fighters, not for 5th gen fighters. Sorry, try again.
@@Slickpartner73 The F-35 is a great marketing product, had a lot of sales, like coca cola. But in real life Stealthieness has it's limitations, the plane still produce a lot of heat, also the missiles makes the difference.
@@Slickpartner73Face the facts man. F-22 and F-35 are garbages. Expensive garbages, like F-117. USA had the best jet ever build and wasted it. It was an F-14. Radar range up to 290km, capable of attacking up to 6 targets in the same time. Phoenix missiles with range of 150km. And what can F-22 do that F-15 or F-16 cant? They basically built an F-15 with manoverability of F-16 and some lets-say-stealth-like capabilites lol😅
Something went wrong: the Rafales started firing their missiles. I mean, if you seriously consider the F-35's stealth and situational awareness, they were suppose to have the advantage in this BVR scenario. Or did I failed to take into account other factors which would allow the Rafales to shoot first?
Stealth also depends on the strength of the adversary radar. The data being classified It is complicated to interpret this kind of thing but with dcs world but I try to stay as close as possible to reality.
Definitely. The F-35's in game radar cross section is inaccurate and larger than it is in reality(most likely as we could not know the full specifications of the jet as they are not released to the public). And even in game, it is much smaller than the Rafael's so the F-35s should most definitely see and fire first. They should also be able to notch or crank with much better effectiveness than the Rafael, being a full stealth interceptor.
It’s not about radar capability it’s about the range of their AMRAAM-120, the Rafale’s Meteor have way more powerful rocket motor and a significant range advantage
The radar cross section is not the only way to be stealthy, you can fake your position and other things that Rafale or F18 EA do. So if you have better rcs, it doesn't mean you are more stealthy

Ridiculous.
It's as if the stealth of the F-35's was turned off.
Check the settings again.
can it hide its IR afterburn? or when lanching an amraam?

Meteor kill the F35. Meteor no scope zone 65 km and Rafael IRST sensor range 100 km. So, it is not difficult destroy F35 jet

I thought the F-35 was stealthy for long range fight 😢😢
stealth is hard to quantify

can Rafale detect F-35????
😅😂
The f35 it's low visibility is only in the nose and frontal wings spand
