- Star Wars: Jedi Survivor should have been delayed longer. Survivor and EA should have actually take a page out of Deep Silver & dambuster's book and waited until the game was completely done or at the veryleast playable.

gamers will never be happy, mad about delays, then want them if the game doesnt run amazing

The problem is companies releasing a crappy dysfunctional product… if you bought a car and it barely worked, would you not be mad?
As a PC gamer, most of these people don't understand how different each piece of custom hardware is from each other. And the way they work together creates an almost endless loop of possibilities in terms of what can go wrong with drivers, bottlenecking, and optimization. I stopped building my own rigs a long time ago and started buying prebuilt because I knew I couldn't keep up with what hardware works better with what as there is a recommended hardware synergy you want to stick to in terms of mixing cards, etc.
Combining certain videocards with other brands of processors, etc can lead to issues and I'd rather spend 2-3K on a PC that's built to game, edit, and produce videos well for like 15 years than 1-2K getting my parts all wrong and having bottlenecking the entire time. To people who don't edit videos, make music, or play PC games, consoles are the way to go. If you can get these games to run for under 500 dollars, DO IT. PC isn't for everyone.
And it should always be an investment for more than games. Spending thousands to play games isn't feasible if that's all you're going to do with it. Some people are obsessed with insane graphics and those are typically the people who suffer the most here, the guys who want 100FPS in 4K with no dips. It's laughable. Settle for 60-70 frames, with 1080, and calm down/save your money. PC gamers have become spoiled.
It would help if the publisher/developer was a little more transparent with the game's progress. I don't think the blame can be solely put on the consumer. This should not be downplayed.
It was supposed to release in March ,so obviously there was concerns about quality, and they had to still rush it out for the May 4 holiday
Releasing games as "finished" in this kind of state should be illegal, clearly it's fraudulent.
stop blaming the devs and blame the brainlet customers that pre order/day 1 purchase games instead of waiting a few days for reviews
@@meyr1992 Bro, the devs are far more at fault than people whom are pre ordering games. The end user, is the absolute last individual you should be pointing fingers at in this situation. They didn't do anything to cause the game to be unfinished. They simply purchased it, nothing more, nothing less.

@@Game4Lord another brainlet, do you seriously not realize that because these customers blindly buy games without knowing what state they are in is why companies keep releasing unfinished games and may or may not finish them a year later with updates to earn money sooner, how am i bootlicking here by not being delusional and realizing the root of the issue. like it’s literally as simple as (people stop pre ordering/ buying games day 1 = publishers/ devs having to release finished games)
@Meyr I'm not sure you understand what you are talking about. The higher-ups are usually the people making these decisions. We can beg for the game to release early, but they can delay the game if they deem it unworthy of a release. I'm sure the people passionate about this project didn't want the game to release in a state like this.

They recommend you get it on console. They should recommend you don’t buy the game. Also why didn’t they wait to release on May 4th. It’s literally next week.

*I've had very little issues on PC.* It's clearly a driver issue that needs an update. I'm glad they didn't delay it because an occasional framerate drop every like 20-30 minutes that only lasts a few seconds doesn't ruin the experience in the slightest. It's a video game. People have hundreds of different hardware setups. If they delayed it, these issues would likely still happen. People love to complain even when they know things will be fixed. The rest of us with good PCs shouldn't have to wait an extra few weeks because the game doesn't run perfectly on every rig out there that meets the minimum requirements.
Already refunded this shit I'm not buying games to be a beta tester and I honestly blame respawn not EA for this release, technical faults in a game aren't the fault of the publisher it's the fault of developers working on that game I'll keep my ear out and if the game is fixed down the line then I'll buy it.
Times like this I enjoy have my ps5 been playing for hours and enjoying it so much

Fun fact, the xbox series s, a $300 console the size of a shoe box, can run this game better than an RTX 4090 rig paired with any one of the highest end CPU's currently on the market, a system that literally costs well north of $2000. How is this even allowed still, when are these companies going to be held accountable for this every time this happens. Every single time a new game comes out and performs this bad on both pc and console, they should be sued for millions in a class action lawsuit. I don't understand the mentality these publishers have when this happens either, I mean at least the way I see it, all buzz and excitement for a new release is essentially deleted if the only coverage surrounding it is about how bad the port is. There is no way that a faster release is even remotely worth destroying the reputation of a product and shattering the sales potential that it could have had. I'm not a businessperson or someone that pretends to understand how game development works but you don't need a fucking masters in finances and marketing to know that it's better to delay something and release it when it's ready than to shove it out the door unfinished. Hopefully some changes are put in place soon that prevent this kind of thing from happening again but who knows.

@@Game4Lord Funny how Microsoft's "world's most powerful console" and Sony's "8K" gaming powerhouse run the game best at 30fps.
If the game was perfect on console but ran poorly on PC I'd say it was just a case of a sloppy PC port. But the evidence seems to point to a problem with the game itself.
i’m on ps5 and the only problems with the game for me is slight frame rate drops but only during cutscenes
Are you playing on resolution or performance mode? Would you recommend it right now on ps5? Because i refunded mine on steam for now. If the ps5 version is good as of now, I’ll just switch over

If all gamers followed this simple rule of thumb I'd bet dollars to dohnuts that games would release when they are actually done.
If the auto industry and drivers acted like the interactive entertainment industry and gamers... you wouldn't be able to drive on a highway because of all the burning wrecks and smoldering corpses :)

I'll wait until it's on ps+ just like the first game was on ps+ a few months back, it was even the duluxe edition 😂 no rush to get this bug ridden mess, even has a trophy that's broke and you can't get platinum

And damn... this is damn near unplayable.

Hey uhhh. What about Console users? The game runs fine on my PS5. Why should me playing the game be delayed because PC users made the wrong purchase when deciding their gaming setup, when the game giving then so many issues will no longer have those issues in a month?
This shit has been happening for years now. Everyone whos mad at the game for notn working isnt upset at the game itself, theyre upset that a game they bought day one, BEFORE any reviews were out, didn't run on THEIR specific hardware. Maybe next time wait to buy a game? Hear if its good?
Console side the game runs good. Cynic only talks about it in vague, negative turns. Played 5 hours so far and the game has not once stuttered, slowed down or lost frames. Sorry it happened ro PC users but dont lump the console plebs into this circle of complaining.
In a month all these complaints about Jedi Survivor will be outdated. Imagine them in a year. Or 5. Battlefront 2 was the exact same way. Its the industry standard. Don't act surprised when it continues to be the standard.
Exactly. I'm a PC gamer and to be honest, other PC gamers are a bunch of spoiled brats anymore. It's always these guys who wants 150+ FPS in 4K with no dips or screen tearing that complain the most. I've been playing in 1080 with 50+ frames at all time, usually above 65. No real issues.
@@StudioMod yeah like, on the one hand it sucks that the hardware they paid for doesn't run the game they did, but on the other... Maybe they don't need a nuclear launch sight to play a silly Star Wars game that runs fine on console?
People are really crying about this game? Its a big step up from the first one.

@@JakeWithers97 yeah ea kinda fucked up with the pc release, honestly just been enjoying the game so much on console that I’m not especially tolerant of the overt negativity towards the game, tbh I do feel bad for pc players, just all the pc players I know have consoles too, then again almost no one I know bought the game because everyone seems to be broke at the moment from all the inflation 😕 I dunno, I empathise cause if it was broken on console too I’d be fkn pissed, I just wish people weren’t so damning of a whole game just cause one version of it was broken at launch
@@JahmezFox I understand what you are saying. I think the negativity towards the PC version has overshadowed the developer's hard work. It sucks that EA continue to screw over Respawn. I'm sure the game is great without the technical issues, though. I own a PS5, but I can see why PC players are upset. I'm glad you are enjoying the game. :)
Respawn did come out and say that this game is not going to run very well on people’s pc’s even if their pcs have the best specs in them.
Not an excuse at all plus still plays horrible on PS5 I can confirm, i thought I was gonna have a Star wars game to play on my day off but at least GoWR new game plus is out
