Thank you so much! For some reason I couldn't get the cartridge holder to move to the left. You were a BIG help!
You are welcome!
I Found this helpful - but would be nice to add what you should do with the used cartridge. Since the ink is used up should you throw or do you need to recycle at office supply
Thank you for your suggestion. Typically, we recommend taking the empty cartridges to your local office supplies store such as Target or Staples. You may also check out earth911.com for more recycling information.
You save my life !! I dont have any idea how you replace the ink but you teach me very well thank youuuuuuuuuuu soooo much :) I am a expert now because YOU ! :)
You are welcome, we're happy that this video helped!
I replaced just the black ink cartridge. Now on the screen I get all the other three cartridges for color are empty, which was not the case before. I turned it off, and on, and I get the same message: I need to replace the other cartridges too. Does not make sense. I use Epson cartridges, and when I called the Epson Customer Service, the automate system gave a number to call where they were going to charge me to help me.
May we know your printer model number and sku of the inks you're trying to install?
When I open the lid the ink cartridges do not center, therefore I can't change the ink cartridge why is this happening?
What if the scanner unit won't open on one side - it's just locked shut but the other side seems to open?
May we know your printer model number?
My printer is a WF-2860 Series . I can't remove the ink cartridges because they are sitting at right hand end under a short cover . Please tell me how to get them out.
To remove a cartridge from an Epson printer, turn on your printer and lift up the scanner unit.Press the stop button - if a cartridge is low or expended, the print head moves that cartridge to the indicator position. Press the stop button again to check for additional low or expended cartridges. When all cartridges have been identified, the print head moves to the replacement position. And, if no cartridges are low or expended, the print head does not move. If you want to replace a cartridge before it is low or expended, press the stop button for 6 seconds. The print head moves to the replacement position. We hope the information provided helps.
Why if I run out of colored inks it wont print? Forces me to buy the whole package even though I have black ink left
Printing in the Grayscale mode is the primary solution to get the black and white document while the color cartridge is empty. In addition, you can also make it done by printing in the single-mode cartridge, by just taking the empty cartridge off. Hope this helps.
This was so helpful! Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
How do I get the ink cartridges to swing out - they stay under the cover. I don't want to pull on the white belt?
Same problem. Cartridges sometimes move out to be replaced, but often they don't. Any way to fix this?
In Australia the Epson cartridges are quite expensive, would you say they were a longer lasting cartridge than a similar canon model?
Just want to know before we buy an Epson. Thanks
Hi, it all depends on what printer you are interested in buying and what cartridges work in that printer. Different cartridges have different page yields and some are more economical than others. The Epson 802XL black cartridge in this video can print up to 2,600 pages and the color cartridges print up to 1,900 pages, which is pretty good for an inkjet printer. Look at the printer price, cartridge price and cartridge page yield to determine whether the printer makes sense for your budget. You can find more information on page yield on our blog: www.ldproducts.com/blog/what-is-page-yield/
Does this printer have to have ink cartridge in 802XL size?
The printer used in this video is Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4720 printer which takes either Epson 802 or 802XL ink cartridges. Epson 802XL is just a high yield version, both standard and highyield will fit into this printer.
I lift it up mine scanner unit but now when I cant to lay it down I can't. It's kind of stucked any suggestion?
It should lay back down easily, be sure that everything is aligned as you are bringing the lid down and bring it down gently like we show in the video.
@@Ldproducts it worked, thanks
Quick question. The cartridge carrier isn't centering on my 7710. How do I get the cartridges out?
We apologize but Epson WorkForce WF-7710 printer, just setup your LCD screen to ink cartridge replacement. Once done, lift up the scanner unit (Do not touch the flat white cable inside the printer. Do not lift the scanner unit while the document cover is open.), open the cartridge cover, prepare the new cartridge (remove from the package and yellow tape) and insert it down until it clicks into place. Then, you can close the cartridge cover and push it down until it clicks into place. Once done, you can then lower the scanner unit. I hope the information provided helps.
I read on another site that an Epson update to the printer made it so that the printer will not recognize non-Epson cartridges, forcing people to buy Epson only. Is that true? Thanks!
Yes, you are correct. Epson released a wireless firmware update that may interrupt your use of compatible ink cartridges. Not to worry as only few models are affected and our cartridge engineering team has been hard at work developing an updated version of our Epson cartridges. We are happy to announce that new compatible Epson cartridges are now in stock. You may visit our website to check the availability of the items for your printer.
What if I cannot get the scanner to open, it is like it is stuck on the right-hand side?
Hi Miria,
The scanner should lift right up. Check to see if there is any blue tape around the scanner that could be preventing it from lifting up, you may not have removed all of the packaging tape when first setting up the printer.
There was not. However, we did discover that there is a piece broken on the right hand side. This piece would have depressed the button that releases the top to open it. We pushed it with an eraser and voila open.
I know this is 3yrs old but I just wanna say thank you mine came with the same side prong missing and I was driving myself crazy trying figure out why it wouldn’t unlock on one side
I asked for instructions re how to install ink cartridges on Epson Workforce 7720. I was given "instructions" for other models, WHICH DID NOT APPLY and I couldn't follow them if they did. The "instructions" were also written, which also did not apply and did not work. Poor response to my very simple question. I tried more than twice...same responses.
Hi Robert, you can find cartridge installation instructions on page 232 of the Epson Workforce 7720 user guide, found here: files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd53888.pdf.
If just one of the ink cartridges is empty will the printer not print correctly? The black ink is full so I would think I could at least print in all black but it comes out fuzzy
For most Epson printers, black print mode allows you to print only with black ink as a temporary emergency measure to minimize the down time in the event any color inks are expended, even if there is no replacement cartridges available. Black Print Mode is only available under specific settings.
@@Ldproducts thank you

Yes, you will need to turn on the printer in order to get the display screen to appear. Hope this helps!
Is it possible to convert this printer to sublimation?
Yes, you can use sublimation ink for this printer.
I appreciate this. This Epson Printer is a biotch to deal with. Ikt works when it wants to. I will note be replacing it with another Epson.
Glad this video helped!

Why don't these printer companies produce a reliable 'black ink only' home printer? This selling colored ink at premium prices is a f'ing scam. I don't even use colored ink yet it sure seems to need to be replaced even when all I print are mail labels. Signed - America
Hi Scott, if you only print in black, we would recommend a basic monochrome laser printer. The Brother HL-L2350DW or HP M15w are good options for home use.
@@Ldproducts No one carries it in stock on the shelves. Office max, Best Buy; target .... none of the help even knew black ink only printers existed. Not on their web sites either.
@@scottrickhoff4184 Sorry, we didn't clarify. The two printers we recommended are laser printers, which use toner cartridges, not ink cartridges. Most customers that just need to print in black prefer laser printers over inkjet because they are a more economical option for printing text. The only black ink only printer that we know of is the Epson EcoTank ET-M1170, but it is an ink tank printer that uses a single black ink bottle, not an ink cartridge. This means you need to refill the printer with the ink bottle, rather than just installing a cartridge. For more information on the difference between inkjet and laser printers, check out our blog: www.ldproducts.com/blog/pros-cons-of-inkjet-and-laser-printers/
@@Ldproducts thanks, our next printer will be a laser jet.
Had no effect.
