I genuinely enjoy your videos and watching your channel. You serve as an inspiring voice for us Lutherans online, and I plan to join your channel sometime this week to further support your work. I've never felt compelled to financially contribute to a channel before. Keep up the great work, Padre.
49:14 “you thought the threat was done…”. This is one of my biggest fears about Christians in America. Too many, falsely believing that “just getting the right guy in power” will solve the problem. We cannot vote our way out of this, but we can remain steadfast in the faith, always being ready to stand boldly in the face of tyrants, as your reference to St. Polycarp pointed to. Luther referenced to the Christian’s need to read the stories of the martyrs. Could you share/recommend with us some readings, perhaps we can purchase through Butterfat Books, of writings on the martyrs? Blessings Brother Tyrel.
I back Trump, so obviously I'm a conservative Bhuddist with strong pro-life leaning and love the idea of limited government. Not a member of your club, but we're on the same side...
I’m sorry that’s been your experience. The congregations I’ve been to have the end times taught every time we confess the Creed, spoken of in the prayers, and often touched on a bit in sermons. But laying out the whole subject is good to do too. (Bible Studies often have this as the books of the Bible teach it in various parts.)
He is not a Lutheran, that is most certainly true, I question if even Christian. He needs to be prayed for. As an adult convert, (Baptized and Confirmed in The LCMS 12/12/21) I do struggle explaining the Synod to my fellow brothers and sisters in Virginia. Majority of the time when I say I'm Lutheran, friends will google it and guess what comes up the ELCA. So then I'm asked "You joined the gay church" oh no, then comes "You joined a church from Missouri?" I love the LCMS and truly believe I was led here by The Holy Spirit and the LCMS is the most faithful to scripture. I do feel (with no disrespect intended) The Title LCMS is very confusing, and the ELCA has a better name even though they are so far from the teachings of Martin Luther and most importantly Christ Jesus. I wish the LCMS would do something to combat the ELCA in that regard. I'm quite found of being called a Confessional Lutheran. Has the Synod ever considered such things of renaming? CLA perhaps, " Confessional Lutherans of America". I have learned that the Synod used to be called "German Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri, Ohio and other states" which wow, LCMS was a good change from that at least. Thank you for all you do. God Bless you and your family.
I don’t know is a name change has ever seriously been considered. I know people talk about it like this all the time, usually in relation to the grotesque shadow cast by the ELCA.
Can someone explain to me exactly what Lutheran is?? My wife is Lutheran here in Indiana an I just moved here 4 years ago from bama but I’ve always been baptist an I don’t no that I’ve ever even heard of Lutheran til I moved here but the way things are done is so much different then how I grew up so can someone please explain Lutheran to me
Certainly, the LCMS is recognized as the most substantial conservative Lutheran organization. My journey from Catholicism to Lutheranism brought me to the LCC, the Canadian equivalent of the LCMS, where I have discovered a steadfast and devoted community.
I don’t think that means what you think it means. Irenaeus doesn’t talk about some missing person event as the rapture is alleged to be taught. “Harpazw” has a larger meaning with little to do with the modern “rapture”. Irenaeus simply says when the end comes Christians will be there as will the unbelievers (as chaff to wheat, or fire to gold) - all are “caught, seized, happened upon” alike, but Christians will have a different outcome because we are different. (Ironically, with the examples Irenaeus uses, the wheat & gold are “left behind” and the chaff, fire, & dirty sink water are all taken away. Sort of the opposite of “Rapture Theology”.) 🤔
@@LadyCathryn Your reply is missing something. I don’t follow. As to the Greek overthrowing the English, Irenaeus’ writing (that you referenced) is in Greek which must inform our English understanding. I can’t just make up words and say some dead person said that, then claim a difference in translation. Words have meanings. Irenaeus is not teaching modern “Rapture Theology”, pre- or post- tribulation, pre- or post- millennialism, as is often discussed today. A-millennialism is the new term (in contrast to the novel ideas) to describe the End Times, the Telos, the Eschaton, the Last Day. Once you understand that, Irenaeus’ words fit like a glove.
The LCMS is faithful. They conserve the whole teaching of God, revealed in Scripture Alone. They are liberal in sharing the love of God in Christ by grace through faith in proclaiming God’s Word and giving His Sacraments. Whether the politics of the day and country align with “conservative” or “liberal”, I hope it would be said that we are faithful.
Thanks!
You’re welcome. Thanks!

I agree with u pastor this is wrong. If I am to to become a Lutheran I wanna be a conservative Lutheran. is lcms conservative?;

Yes, the LCMS is conservative. If you need help finding a faithful Lutheran church, hit me up on IG, X, or my website and I’d be happy to help.
Praise God for bringing you into confessional Lutheranism!
@@TyrelBramwell Shouldn’t you more rejoice that someone is brought into confessional Christianity rather than Lutheranism?

No. The mark is a spiritual reality.
That's what we have here in henderson,ky and Evansville Indiana? Is the the Lutheran Missouri synod conservative to Lutheran values

Oh shut it. Dude, this is barely Lutheran even as a podcast. He's ELCA, which isn't confessional.
WELS. We wouldn't allow a pastor to do this. Please act more confessional.
How am I being less than confessional?
Is this coming from a catholic?...
Nope. Lutheran.
@@TyrelBramwell So....catholic?...
Not Roman Catholic with a big "C", but rather small lowercase "c" meaning the universal church. The Lutheran Church is catholic.
Too generic... so many types
