  • Before and after footage has shown the extent of damage caused to Maui's historic town of Lahaina after wildfires swept through last week.
Hawaii Governor Josh Green says the fires are the "largest natural disaster in Hawaii state history" and that 80% of the beach-front town is "gone".
Satellite images have shared the scale of the damage and rubble where businesses and homes once stood.
At least 96 people are now believed to have died as a result of the fires which spread across Maui.

It's sad to see such loss. A land which was also birthed by fire is somewhere I don't think I would want to live on. The big question now is the cause of how the fire started. We know that the wind was the reason for it to spread at such a rapid pace. I wouldn't be surprised if an electric bike or car battery was faulty.

The GOVERNOR is liable ⚠ The ONLY reason so many people died is because the coastal alarm didn't go off. The Governor knows the Truth.... 2 people had control to start the alarm... Those 2 people went on vacation... There needs to be a Trial.... The fire killed people but failure to start the coastal alarm is the reason people couldn't escape quicker. ⚠ We all see the videos.... the fire didn't travel 1 mile per minute.... that's a poor excuse..... trying to build a story... The truth is, the Governor knows the Truth... and did NOT say it. ⚠ The Governor should leave Hawaii and resign asap. We don't want to see him here anymore.

Really? I see that even Hawaiians on Lahaina are now questioning why there is little to no help coming from Oahu.
Why the only supplies being ferried in are from volunteer boats and not from those in power on Oahu via 20 minute helicopter rides.
Only today are the first soldiers being seen at Lahaina. It's a disgraceful response by the state in aiding its people.

Yes..but it involves a tsunami originating from del fuego landslide in canary islands...this sends tidal wave to major cities ineast gulf coast..Miami is a target I believe.
Washington d.c is being set up for such an event as Hawaii I feel that's why it is closed off..a major naval port on east coast may be such target....delaware...shipyards maybe.

One survivor told in an interview "Police, Governor & Hawaii officials, Electric company trucks passed in front of me. But nobody tried to help me.
