I loved this anime. I went back and watched a couple of episodes of the original anime and, uh, let's just say it did (EDIT) NOT age well. What the F is wrong with the MC? You have a 9.5 or 10 out of 10 character model FMC who is entirely devoted to you and wants nothing else than to love you forever and you're running away from her when you're not in love with someone else? Shit, at least give her a chance.

I love how they put clips of the 80s anime, some games and other stuff of the franchise. Obviously the manga is the original but this is a timeless classic with a lot of merch. This anime is more that a new adaptation, is a celebration!

I'd love to see Dirty Pair get this sort of treatment, with similar character designs as the 1985 release. Another DP series called "Dirty Pair Flash" came out in the 90s, but I hated its art style.

David Production is probably the most underrated animation studio. This and Fire Force are amazing technically. Colorful and without much 3d (Mappa overuses 3d honestly)
The thing I loved about the old openings was Lum dancing, so I'm so happy that they added that in the new opening, and the animation is beautiful!

I really love that bit of gravelly vocal fry she puts behind the "-na" at 0:35. Gets me every time, especially paired with Lum's dance there.
