This feels bittersweet. It sounds peaceful and joyful, but carries a bit of melancholy at the same time. As if someone was remembering the good times they shared with a friend or family member who is now long gone. Reflecting on better days brings the happy feelings but also carries the painful reminder that things aren't as good as they once were, and perhaps never will be.

I agree. I found this while randomly going through Amazon Music via Alexa. I immediately added it to my favorites because it pulled at my heart while remembering how good life was just a year and a half ago... before my girlfriend got brain cancer.

Yes, it’s would be very suitable for ballet dancers. The composer's daughter is a dancer I believe, so he probably wrote it for her😊

For me, when I listen to this piece I get nostalgic. I remember about my childhood and how life goes fast and everything changes. I've found the sheet music and I'm gonna learn how to play it. Bravo.
During the part where the right hand scales up (or in the second verse, down and then up) I always picture the bluebird flying higher in the air and it’s so beautiful. I know I’m three years late, but this is my most favorite song to play, it’s a work of art.

If someone would say me it's a classical piece, I would straight up believe it.
classical doesnt mean it has to be old, a classical piece could be made any time. There was a "classical era" of music when it was new, but classical music is still being made to this day.

I love that piece. So far it was quite easy to learn, except for the fast played part around 1:35. Although I have the notes, I cannot make any sense of that. Somehow you play the same key with both hands?
Stephan Gref Don’t worry Stef, I can help you make sense of it! In order for me to help you I could do with knowing which version you are using? There are a various versions of this sheet music in existence. The Master Keyz sheet music (available from musicnotes.com - see the link in this video description above) has the same notes as the original version, but it's written in a different format and layout, which makes that middle section you’re talking about much easier to read than other publications. Our version also has bar numbers written in. Which version do you have? I’ll be happy to help you with that section.

2 probably. I’m a beginner and I could read some of the sheet music
I would say Grade 2-3. It's the fingering that's a challenge for me. I put this on slow speed and made notations on the music.

I personally do 2-5 1-4 (x2) 2-3 2-4 (x2) 1-3 4 1-3 but a lot of people have said I’m doing it weirdly 🤷🏼♀️
It’s all about preference for that bit I guess!

Is this piece supposed 2 be fast or slow?
I would say the tempo ideally should be moderato... medium tempo. If played too quickly, this piece will sound too rushed - and if played too slow, it will drag.
