OMG that's where it went. I seen on fb market place too. So happy for you . This bus so much potential and great bones. Can't wait for the progress vlogs. Enjoy
@@_ourgreatescape yp we have them as public transport buses in some areas in our country and they are super comfy. one downside of those buses is if you didn't maintain the overhead a/c it will get blocked, and water will leak inside. so, watch out for that.
FTE?!! looks amazing, what a beauty congrats guys! A lot of the Japanese imports have that underbody surface rust because they apply salt to the snowy roads over there! many moons ago we looked at about 40-50 offroad Toyota Hiace vans trying to find one in good condition, they were all rusted 5x worse than yours! what a find, very rare to get one in that condition!! Cant wait to see what you do with it!
Wow, such a nice and brand new bus, it's really an unicorn! Congratulations, I'm just arriving to your channel and I'm going to enjoy this building a lot! Greetings from Brazil!!!
what a beautiful bus! Very charming design. I have never seen one of these in Europe. Would love to own one of these. Congratulations! Looking forward to following along in the build. (just subscribed). :)
I’m glad this got recommended to me. You both have a great dynamic and the filming is on point. You have a great eye. What an interesting build too. With house prices and interest rates at an almost unobtainable level for most people, alternative living like this could very well be an option. Enjoy the build process and I look forward to watching more of your adventures. Mark from Cairns 👍
Every time I drive past a bus on the road I say to my wife, OOOOO BUSSSSS.... Very interested to watch you put one together. Come swap it with our van for a night when your done, we love a good Collab 😉. Have subbed, keep the build vids coming.
Got here from recommendation. Watch a lot of camper builds and travellers. Thumb up and subscribed. Gonna be really cool to follow you build 😊 Cheers from the other side of the globe, Sweden 👍
@@_ourgreatescape well, those '80s Coasters I'm referring to are government vehicles, so maintenance is fairly religious. Also, newer Coasters of the vintage of yours here in the Philippines have an external air intake mounted on the right side.
I see them everywhere here where i live and there’re amazing very fast especially always wondered how it would turn out if it was converted to a motorhome
Love the bus build! Got a 1HZ '96 80 and dream of getting a cruiser one day too. Keep up the episodes. Also might be too late, but a 'caramel wheel' will help get the last few bits of old insulation off (its what was recommended to me when i was sound deadening the 80).
Thanks so much Alex, we used a caramel wheel today and it came up a treat! So lucky we saw your recommendation right before we laid the sound deadening!!
I swear that this is The Coolest Bus I've ever seen and hell yes I subscribed! I'm dying to see what you do with this.I live in Huntington West Virginia and I'm redoing a 1990 RV ,,So I watch a ton of videos on doing this , But guys you bought one of the coolest busses I've ever seen ! So no pressure but build this sexy beast right ! LOL
Looks like one of Hugo’s coasters. I think he’s imported nearly 200 on the last couple of years. We had a deposit on one similar to yours but shipping delays and covid chewed up our time so we bought one already done local. Been on the road for 13 months now and not one mechanical issue. Ours is a 96 so it’s the 1hd-t, not quite as good as the fte but still good. Be interesting to watch this series as it progresses.
I want one in yellow. Seems like a great tool for a entrepreneur. Especially since you dont see these anywhere on the road in America. Which leads to my question about maintenance. Other than that I want one.
Holy shit 😳 you just poached a unicorn 🦄 1hd fte in a bus with 42kms for $45k. Iv been looking for over a month now and havnt come accross anything like that. Well done guys looking forward to the build and hope to see ya on the road one day ✌️
Wow just came from the 80 video and it was awesome!! Id really like to get into a similar lifestyle with my girlfriend in the future. Just subscribed so i can follow the whole process good luck guys🫶🏻 greetings from paraguay🇵🇾
You can actually buy a heat exchanger hot water service that will run off 240 and the motor. That way you will be able to have a shower whenever you arrive anywhere to feel clean again after a day driving.
U gunna b able to get parts for the 1hdft in outback oz or did they come out in other toyotas? So sad 4 the ol guy,im one of them n hopefully i will get one.
You've done well there. Any noticeable difference between a JDM model and the export ones? We've got a MAN 24-420 motorhome so might see you on the road one day. Cheers from Tamborine, Queensland.
45K you & reckon that you’re lucky? Maaate,! We gotta have a quiet word together, here in the UK we could make a-lot of Tubby Tommys together. Whats its it like with importing Pommy cars to your neck of the woods?
With those well lit scenic shots I truly Wish You’d done a proper video on just showcasing the bus more without the couple’s vlog part. After scrolling back and forth through the entire video the actual vehicle appears to be visible for maybe 3 seconds tops.😕 🤦♂️ what a waste of good footage. This is beyond disappointing. Lowest mark for the editor.
Good luck on the build, you hace a lot of problems to figure out. Wish you great success.
Great find, first thing is to disconnect the door buzzer lol
Crazy that it has such low kms on it... this 22 year old bus just started living it's life with this build. Congrats!
Thanks! We're so stoked with it
Sweeeeeeet. I'll be watching!
Cheers!
Brilliant Toyota bus. Keen do see what you do to it!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome buy keen to follow along
Thanks!
Will be watching with interest
Thanks!
Great stuff guys
Thanks Craig!

Thank you!
This used to be my school bus in Oman during the early 2000s. Nostalgia hitting me hard 🥲
That bus is spotty dog !! Great Project
Thanks, can't wait to rip into it!
cant wait to see the full build!
Cheers for following along!
Should’ve used a steamer for the insulation removal.
Great video guys, can't wait to see more. ❤❤☮☮✌✌
what a beast of a bus!! awesome first ep and we're keen to watch it all come together
Thanks guys!!
Those buses are super comfy on the road.
I can imagine, soo keen to road trip in it!

I love y’all’s videography filming style, sweet bus!
Thanks so much
Looks like a good Coaster, and with only 45k kilometres, what a bargain. Enjoy the build.
Thanks!
Nice bus definitely interested how you guys will fit it out.

Great looking bus. Good luck with the build. Just subscribed so I can follow your adventures.

Coasters are very reliable minibuses. I know of examples from the 1980s that still run strong here in the Philippines.
They sure are. Can't beat Toyota in reliability.

We'll be keeping the 80 for now. We still have lots of 4WD trips we want to do!

Hey guys, awesome first episode. How tall are you?, Noticed you were fairly close to the ceiling/
Following
Hey! Liam is 6ft. Wouldn't want to be any taller than that living in a coaster 😆
Wow just came from the 80 video and it was awesome!! Id really like to get into a similar lifestyle with my girlfriend in the future.
Just subscribed so i can follow the whole process good luck guys🫶🏻

The cat meow had me dying...
Random question mate
How tall are you? Wondering about head space walking around inside
Hi mate, I’m 6 foot. I can just fit but we’ll see when we put the roof up 😂
Howdy, just wondering on the heater delete. What’s the reasoning there, were they bulky or slow work? Just doing split system or diesel heater? Cheers
Hey guys, personal question but are you working while travelling?
Sick bus
Hi, yes we did a few work stints on the road but now our media business is our main source of income. Thanks for watching!

🎉🎉🎉❤
All purpose thinners will take all of the insulation adhesive straight off with almost no effort.
Subbed!
Cheers Mark!
also try mitsubishi rosa bus with 4m50 engine
Heat gun for the adhesive on the roof if you didn't figure that one out already.
get a turtbo and some new injectors and a tune youll be the fastest coaster in aus 😂
9:59 - Hopefully these aren't staying under there permanently as they will rot and fall causing a leak eventually.
Hey mate, we've actually sealed them with bitumen paint from the bottom
Yeah count😂😂
What Mpg you get?
45K you & reckon that you’re lucky? Maaate,! We gotta have a quiet word together, here in the UK we could make a-lot of Tubby Tommys together. Whats its it like with importing Pommy cars to your neck of the woods?
