Funny, this seems to be what happens every time I go in quickplay too on several maps. Don't get me wrong, I fully appreciate the difference between a no-skill scrub shotgun rushing and a real master of the art of blasting your face off at close range, but even the scrubs make games feel like this unless you specifically pick your loadout to counter them. Even against other "meta" weapons, like Graviton lance and Vigilence wing, in D2 it was always possible to pick damn near any loadout you wanted without giving yourself more than a slight handicap. This just feels like the worst part of D1 rolled into D2 without any of the redeeming features of D1.

I went in when it was it's own playlist and had the exact same experience you did in this vid, utterly steamrolled by four Hunter's with shotguns; I was not looking forward to playing it again afterwards. But me and friends started playing competitive and apparently Breakthrough is a mode there, turns out that when you have evenly matched teams it's actually awesome and I adore it! Maybe not as good as Countdown for comp but I personally enjoy it regardless. I hope you get to try it again against a team who aren't the 1% and actually have fun! Keep it up Mr. Fruit & Co.! I’ve had decent experience stopping shotguns with fusion rifles if you wanna try that counter Also the thing more annoying then shotguns are titans who only rely on shoulder charging to get kills. Yes it’s good but when they just run inorder to get thier charge and just pre run around a corner, instead of taking a 1v1 gun fight. Its the absolute worst.
On PC, they are pretty bad. Single shot launchers are great though. The nightfall exclusive launcher is available this week, and it can roll with concussion or proximity.
Complains about being shotgunned -> Attempts to shoulder charge someone clearly holding a shotgun -> Gets shotgunned -> Complains about being shotgunned. Also, when you asked what else you're supposed to do, the answer is pretty simple. Either use a weapon like a sidearm, smg, fusion rifle, or chaperone and play just out of range, or play more patiently and don't rush a room by yourself. You have the benefit of communication with your teammates, you can always coordinate to push at the same time. There were a lot of times in a 1v1 situation that you could have used your aerial space as well to outplay someone rushing you.
They completly dumped skill based MM for it, I'm sure it didn't feel great for those lower down forever getting stomped. Although going in a rampage with only a bow for the entire match is pretty fun
Pro tip: If you're not going to use your special ammo weapon, replace it with a primary ammo weapon. You're runnin' around with a sniper but you're not sniping anyone, so when they shotgun you, you're just giving them more ammo. They'll never run out if you keep feeding them!
I love how Rob has evolved in a way since season 1 of Dream Team in D1. He is helping Fruit and calming him down and is popping off a shit ton. He is being positive and frankly I can feel him being happy. Love u Rob. Pogger for my man.
