cowbells hard af
That Beach House has been sampled as much as they have by hip hop and R&B artists is a testament to the diversity of their sound and mass appeal.
TheWatsonGreen what are some other songs that's been sampled?
|Jake|C| The Party and The Afterparty samples Master of None
@@tarheels185 Also Loft Music samples Gila
@@tarheels185 Master of None still one of if not the best Beach House song...or at least my favourite.
i guess it's quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?
You have to appreciate their head nodding when they listen to the og sample.
real music fans
It was actually in the original cut of the video, but we had to edit out to save time. Basically the label went to Beach House to get the clearance on it and it turns out they are actually fans of Kendrick! They were honored and excited about it so it all worked out super smoothies
Any way you can upload the full vid ?
Dahi's on some other shit with his drum patterns
One of the illest joints the past 5 years. And we just sat here watching how it was made.
Thank you guys for this!
It still is after 10 years

what kind of gum they chewin...
One of the greatest songs ever made. Let alone rap/hip hop. A well executed masterpiece.
Yup, thanks for watching!
Kendrick will never make a song better than Money Trees and I'm perfectly ok with that. It's a masterpiece
@@andrewtruex bruh what? Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst is the greatest hip hop song of our generation
@@ck675 you not gonna bump that unless you’re sitting at home depressed tho are you? Part of what makes money trees a classic is that you can play it anywhere anytime
This might still be the best video on RUclips.
Thanks for watching!
He is currently working with J Cole now. Can't wait, this guy is a genius with that Money Trees beat!
Turned out to be more classics
I love beach house, I thought it was really rad when they used their song
THE DRUM PATTERN IS A1
Vinay Arun what do you mean?
ShakeNBake677 as in the drums are very hard, got mad bounce
Production wise he reminds me of Kanye West. He makes hip hop beats but he's obsessed with alternative music and often samples those kind of songs. His approach is almost the same too.
I NEED THOSE COWBELLS THOUGH
Rory Fisher Damn....listening to this track with vox, I never even noticed the cowbells!
yeah they're subtle as fuck but add so much to the feel
this is legit one of the most iconic beats in the 2010's. amazing deconstruction video
Thank you for watching!
Those underlying synths that play throughout the bridge are nuts. Never noticed that in the record.
Still lose my mind every time the drums hit in that song
Those added synths alone could've made a whole new beat. Thats crazy!!
dat drum is a hit itself
Beach House is next level. I think that Silver Soul song would've caught any producers attention
the bells really complete the beat imo
One of if not the most legendary hip hop beats ever made
4:38 when dahi looks for a reaction is priceless hahahah
This song gets you stuck in time.
Love the production. The beach house sample really makes the track stand out.
NIGGA THAT BEAT IS SO FUCKN HOT!!! Keep bangn out
Oh shit, didn't even realised that was Beach House
This is one of those timeless instrumentals #salute
Dahi produced two tracks for the upcoming Kendrick Album! can´t wait for that shit to drop! Dahi is a Genius!
DJ Dahi is the best producer in the game right now
LoudMouth Media Group Agree, he sounds different. Love his flava!
Pitus Beatz forsure! tired of hearing the same sounds. he's got def got some flava
6 years later still true
FUUUUUUCK I NEED THAT OMNISPHERE THOUGH
This beat still mad hard nearly 6 years later
10 years still goes hard
Discovered Kendrick Lamar when element and then damn. came out, then I discovered swimming pools was one of his songs, had heard it on gta 5 so often, then I discovered the whole good kid mad city album in 2018, and at the same time I ran into "downtown - lil peep", later I discovered the instrumental was from a Kendrick Lamar song called money trees, from that good kid mad city album, I sat and listened and I felt like I was living the story while listening to the song, and ever since it has been one of my all time fav, and now I'm here discovering it was a pop song sample
Music can be used and reused so much overtime without never losing its power, just people adding their creativity and their vibes on it..
he is becoming one of my favorite producers
No wonder why J cole went platinum without features lol, he was working with him
You can have the artist all day. But it’s nothing without a dope producer! This is a shining example of having both being dope ❤
watching in 2024 and still hitssssss
this song had been rotation for two months straight. it might as well be my summer anthem this year. thanks for the video!
Great work champ. THIS is what Creativity is about. I'm so blessed to hear you agree with my philosophy of "Creativity comes from the reaction 2 different Creators make.!""Too come up with something new, you have to do the opposite."
4:00 tho!!!!
one of my favorite record on the album
Today is the 10th year anniversary of the album. Definitely the best song on the album
Is it crazy that this video had me smiling the entire time? XD this is insane how he found the ENTIRE song by reversing the sample like that. That made the whole song crazy! Dj Dahi is amazing !
Crazy to think how little hip hop beats sounded like this one when it was released and how much they started to sound like it 6 years after...
From 3:55 to 4:58 is my favorite part, letting the beat build, so dope!
holy shit i had no idea one of my favorite song from Kendrick sampled one of my favorite song from Beach House.
Thanks, we'll be having more coming very soon!
this is so damn inspiring... thanks for posting. and shouts to dahi and rahki for making this as well..
I swear all you dudes sharing your tricks are gonna change the game and make music better
Guy on the right looks like Klay Thompson
he should release the part with just the drums & cowbells lol that was dope for real
the fact he said he fucks with fleet foxes 🔥
He's a dope dude, really tho
great work on this video. hope to see behind the beats vids.

Dope shit! Keep doing vids like these!
top 10 beats idgaf
U rite
One of my favorite tracks off the album.
favourite song on the album
I LOVE IT!!!!!
Native Instruments - Battery (snares/808 kicks)
Native Instruments - Kontakt (african bells/bass/hi hats)
Kontakt has multiple instruments/sounds to choose from. Battery is mostly drums. Hope that helps!
7:11 really sounds like it belongs in a hotline Miami soundtrack at first
But how did he isolate the vocals so well. How did he remove the rain and bird noises in the background?
This is amazing.
Forever my favorite song
Thanks for watching!
Favorite song all time
🤯❤️
Thank You For This!
and thank you for watching!
Only 185k views is insane. I would say my boys and I watched this at least 200 times over the course of our 4 year college. This was the goto RUclips vid at 3 am after the bar closed

Great vid
Thanks!
5:55 How is that even possible? He had a kick, bassline and 808?
I'm pretty sure you can do it pretty easily if you EQ everything correctly so they don't clash
Dude. making beats is just sleight of a cakewalk.
Saskiequelle if you listen closely they do clash but he got it for the most part
Very inspiring, i had just learned about beach house to bad i didn't make that track haha. Any tips for crafting the drums on your beat? ps I'm using ableton, any tips or info is welcome
amazing
Does anyone know what vst he’s using for the cowbell sequence?
No problem, thanks!
8:30 - he started talkin spicy so they had to edit it
Spicy?
This makes me realize I could do this. Watch out DJ Dahi
