I swear man. I've played the X games a bunch in my childhood. Those are the games I grew up on and back then I would've never guessed I'd be here over 20 years later to listen to the music. These beats are something else...
I'll never forget how I felt when I saw the opening stage of Megaman X3 for the first time. Maverick Hunter HQ under attack, a swarm of Irregular gunships filling the sky and descending on the last bastion of defense against the Maverick horde. All hope seemed lost. Then those ships started going down one by one, making you wonder if Maverick Hunter HQ's defenses were getting more accurate at shooting them down. Then you see X and Zero leap onto one of the gunships. X starts blasting, and Zero finishes the job with a slash. And that's how you establish that you're playing a pair of legends.
I remember jumping so much from excitement when I saw Zero coming down from the ceiling and realizing I was able to play as him, best moments from my childhood ngl.
One of my favorite games when I was a kid my cousins grandma got it for me very special gift I’ve always cherished. Just picked up the mega man legacy collections.
I think fans really like X3 because it knows what it is. It’s a hardcore, heavy metal, brutally hard, tough guy war fest. X2 sort of had that light hearted cartoon of the classic series. X3 really distinguished itself from the classic series in this way.

I love how this game was the first to really make X and Zero feel like a team, especially with this stage. Playing as Zero was also just badass.
They always know how to make you feel like the coolest guy ever from the beginning.
I love how the first boss of the game is typically some super enormous robot and it ends up being the easiest boss.
That’s typical for the X, Zero and ZX series (and also Mega Man 7, 8 and & Bass)
