Although the original recording is utterly remarkable and admirable -- then and now -- this performance displays the unadulterated vocal harmonies and talents of 10cc without the multi-tracked vocal overlays. Absolutely gorgeous!

The 90's was the worst sounding era for musical instrument technology.. The analog sound of the 70's and 80's is where it's at, and ironically enough, 4 decades later, all these 70's and 80's bands and artists are resorting back to the sounds that made their music so great, couple with the fact that today's technology is far superior and easy as pie to control.. I had seen a much more recent version of this tune by 10 CC from 2011, and it was superb..

I propose the 'err' is in the mixing. One can clearly perceive this in noticing the entire work is poorly layered, improperly dynamically processed, inconsistently effected and most importantly...the monitors likely really sucked.

Love the song, Not feeling Eric Stewart's performance. He sounded constipated. He'd sang much better in other live performances. This one disappointed BIG time. The bass is proper though.

Terry plays guitar "cracking" being the operative word. You can tell why Stewart and Gouldman slit after this. Eric looks tired and washed out.
