I don't doubt that AT&T did this to this guy. I originally got DSL and phone with them. It supposedly costs $49.99 per month. The phone never worked though. I asked them to come out and fix it, but they never did. So I ended up cancelling the phone service and kept the DSL. They told me it would cost $25.00 a month just for DSL. It was $25.00 for a month, then it skyrocketed to $69.99 a month just for DSL. Was like that for about 2 years. They claim it was for service calls or something. AT&T is a rip off.
