It’s gonna maintain its player count since there’s an actual demand for this mode. This mode offers things for a sweat that’s lacking in the ranked mode.

As a casual player I'm angry because if I play battle Royale everything is nerfed because of the sweats and me and my friend want to play reload mod but these low life sweats keep full boxing us and in zero build we get aimbotted everytime. I don't want to have many kills or have a high rank I just want to have fun while playing my favorite game
By far the most players are in Reload Builds, but there are still huge chunks of players in Zero Build modes. What this tells me is that the majority still see Fortnite as primarily a Builds game, and they also miss the simplicity, weapons and graphics of OG Fortnite. That said, Zero Build players should still be respected and they should always have Zero Builds to play. Yall have to admit though. Everyone who said the love for Ch1 was just "nostalgia" and people wouldn't like if it actually came back were 100% wrong. OG and now Reload have completely destroyed that argument. Let us have our OG, and those who don't like that? Play the new map or something else.

I’ve been here since season 1 and I only love reload because as soon as I land im getting into action, not just that but being able to come back alive automatically after dying is also a huge advantage in this game mode. I guarantee you had they only brought back og it would definitely not do that great. Season og was good because it was for a small time and it was a remix of og and the new style of fortnite. However after 1 week season ogs numbers drastically dropped. People get tired of the old game regardless of “ogs” swearing it was better back then (it wasn’t)
Technically we are not wrong for saying chapter 1 is just loved for nostalgia. Sure a lot of people are playing it right now but in the next few weeks no one will be playing it anymore cuz its gonna get boring. Battle royale zero build now has more players playing the game than reload. So most likely in the next few weeks battle royale will have more players playing than reload and reload will just be like any other creative map. Its not just new. Its accual fortnite. This mode is what fortnite is and what people loved it for. Simple map, simple gameplay loop without any meta breaking BS + the original artstyle and not the abomination it became

Yeah, but it's filled with sweats. I've been playing it only to get the free rewards, but it's tough to win. I usually always make it end game, but those other guys are just too sweaty. Once I got all the free rewards and the glider, I stopped playing and went back to BR, and the games are much easier. 😅

It's a miracle.... (almost.) It ain't perfect until they add back cosmetic rarities and fix the Locker UI system.
This is just like what happened to the Lego mode. Huge inital turnout, but they can't sustain the momentum, so the player count decreases drastically.
