I disagree. Whether you're a christian, muslim, jew, hindu, buddhist, something else... or belong to no "religion" at all; even just the surface narrative of the bible explains exactly what she's saying right here. When you start making some sense of all the allegories beyond surface level (in all of these religions) you see this show was telling far too many truths to the world. There is no other logical reason it would have ended after 3 seasons in a cliff hanger.

I didn't like all the gay sexualization of this show but it ended far too soon. I have a feeling they were exposing way too much "encoded" truth that us "profane" could decode. This scene right here was one that really stuck out to me as one of those "truths".

Before this scene in the show, I heard someone speak of Jesus being a trickster of sort. This scene has stuck with me since then.
Thats actually true, he was perceived as a menace to Rome and crucifixion is a Roman Capital punishment, not a jew one.
