    Sviatlana, you are so generous with your information and ideas and I have learnt so much by watching your videos. I had never before collected my threads and tied them so neatly but rather used the back step on my sewing machine. Does it make such a significant difference ?

    • @SviatlanaBalybina
      @SviatlanaBalybina  3 года назад +2

      Hello Natasha, thank you very much, I am glad you like what I am doing!
      I use both - the back stitch at the beginning and the end of the seam, and tying and hiding the threads inside the project layers. It gives the project neatness, finished look, and the threads are well secured.

    Your work is lovely,andI learned a lot from watching this video. I'm interested in the thread you used. Is it normal polyester sewing thread? I was thinking of doing something similar using top stitch thread so that the stitching would be more visible, but I don't know if it would be too heavy?

    • @SviatlanaBalybina
      @SviatlanaBalybina  3 года назад

      Thank you!
      Yes, it is a universal 100% polyester sewing thread.

      @@SviatlanaBalybina It's hard to source Korean fabric during this pandemic. I'm still unsure if 1.5mm will be suitable for my quiet book. American sites sell a lot of 1mm & 1.5mm felt, e.g. Amazon. Link to Arteza felt is below. Do you have any more thoughts on this?Thank you again. www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07KMGZ3RV/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A4XRJ8S0WXSO0

      @@ploy9837 Oh, it looks good, but it is really hard to tell from a photo.
      I would suggest you to join the Facebook group “Quiet Book hints, tips & ideas”, or maybe you are already a member of it. This group is closed, here is the link: facebook.com/groups/1530205250573073/
      It is a wonderful group for quiet book makers, you can find there a lot of great ideas, tips. I saw some posts of the girls who shared the links to the felt sellers regarding their location, and for the United States as well. You need to use the search function on this Facebook group, click the search bar at the top of the group page on and enter “Korean Felt in the U.S.” or something like that.
      Hope you will find this group useful!
