Congratulations John! Glenn is my father and when I found out that he had guided you I was very jealous to say the least. Got into archery myself 3 years ago and have been a subscriber ever since. I have been lucky enough to have my dad call in a twelve point bull to kill with my elite ritual 35 and two black bears all in the first year of ever owning a bow! I was constantly checking for when you’d upload since he told me you filmed the hunt, can’t wait to show it to him. Congrats again!
Wow. That's so cool Dylan! I heard all about you from your dad. He talked about you all the time :) What a great guy--super knowledgeable, hard working, and relentless! Congrats on your harvests--that's amazing to do that so early in your bowhunting years. When I texted the vid to your dad last night, he told me that you were a subscriber :) I told my wife that last night. Really inspiring. Thank you!
That's so awesome
John Lusk is one of my favorites. He is a great man and a great hunter. After watching John's meticulous reviews, which are by far the best in the business, I too will have SevR and Iron Will broadheads in my quiver this fall hunting elk. Thank you for what you do both in the hunting community and for human kind John, nobody deserves it more than you.
Thank you Scott. Good luck on your hunt!
I was using the Iron Will in case I had a hard quartering shot or frontal shot within 50 yds and needed extra penetration. Then the 1.5 was for distance shots, broadside shots or shots in heavy wind. I thought this bull was going to come straight on or quartering, so I loaded the Iron Will. It certainly did its job...but there wasn't much blood externally from the hole. But the 1.5 hit in the front leg and went into the chest on the front of the bull, so there was a lot of blood from that, especially when he ran thru taller cover.
Can’t believe I’ve watched a hundred broadhead reviews and today I finally started watching your hunting vids. Great stuff
Well thank you!!! I have a few different bowhunting playlists.
Love the videos and I like the fact that you don't have a camera man. That's what makes your videos relatable. And it's refreshing to see a fella give credit to He who deserves it most.
Thanks John. That's encouraging to hear.
@@LuskArcheryAdventures I'm assuming the comment below is a scam. Hopefully you can comment to clear this up. Thanks
I find a helicopter crew coming in and harvesting the meat for the hunter relatable. Jeez, elites.. likely build a rustic cottage just to mount the antlers above the fireplace
good job John! Any bow kill is a trophy in my book
Thank you Freddie.
You could hear both impact shots! Great video John!
Yeah, that was pretty cool. Thanks Taylor.
Congratulations, John. That look on your face after getting that bull is what bowhunting is all about.
Haha. I'm still smiling like that 3 days later :)
Congratulations Mr Lusk. There isn't anything like an archery Moose.
Right? What an experience. Thank you
Congratulations John! What an incredible moment to be able to have such a giant moose come that close and get a shot. You’ll be able to be eating moose for a long time. Never had the meat but bet it’s delicious!
Thanks brother.
Congratulations! We hunted with Effords 6 years ago and we both bagged a moose. You will enjoy the BEST game meat there is. Lew and his wife, Dorisse Annie were with us in camp. She is a great cook and Lew is great to hang out with. Congratulations again and enjoy!
Thanks Dave.
Congratulations! That is awesome you were blessed with such a great animal. Newfoundland is beautiful. I hunted there in 1999 for caribou. The people were very friendly. Hope the rest of your hunting season goes as well.
Thanks Ernie. You're right.
Huge congrats John that was amazing especially the the camera angles showing the arrow in flight that was awesome great job with the vids and keep up the amazing work you do we all appreciate it
Thank you Israel.
Wow! John, this is so cool! I'm glad you were able to get this 1st one! This is a very nice video! I like it alot!
Thanks brother :)
So happy for you, my brother! That looks like an awesome experience! Congratulations!
Thank you Ron.
That's outstanding! I thought I walked in high cotton having pack mules but a chopper? I'm jealous. Congratulations John
Haha. That was pretty awesome. Wish I always had one of those :)
Huge congratulations my brother ! What an immense land of beauty. I’d had invited that caribou home for dinner too.
Two awesome shots and certainly a high end, high quality broadhead. Just a great job.
Thanks brother!
What a great experience! Thank you for sharing with us, John, and putting great quality videos together so frequently. I can’t wait to watch more of your hunting videos. Keep doing what you do, you effort does not go unnoticed. Thank you, and congrats!
Thank you! I really appreciate the encouragement :)
Fantastic John, congratulations and thanks for sharing your adventure.
Thanks Tom.
Congratulations Pastor John! So grateful for you!
Thanks brother!
It is crazy to think about that area used to be under a 2 mile think sheet of ice just 11,500 years ago and geologically speaking melted over night. Also, how many North American big game species we lost during the Younger Dryas. Congratulations John.
That is pretty cool to consider.
Congratulations John on a beautiful bull! Well deserved!
Thank you Glenn.
That’s awesome Lusk
I grew up in Newfoundland. Great moose opportunity
Oh nice. Beautiful area! Thank you
Great job, John! You earned every inch of that bull, and every pound of that delicious meat. You are one fine shot.
Thanks brother.
Congratulations John! I'm glad you had a great time up here! Beautiful place and great hunt! All the best!
Thank you! You have a beautiful country!
@@LuskArcheryAdventures Thanks!
I hope you get more hunts John, you are one the real ones. No lies, no BS, just a good honest guy. Couldn’t be happier for you and we all look forward to seeing you down some more animals.

Thanks Mikey.
Congratulations John! I always enjoy your content! Very down to earth and informative!
Thanks Caleb.
Amen preacher, not a giant but it's your giant. Sweet hunt congratulations.
Haha. Right? Thank you
Congratulations John on a fine moose! Great job!
Thank you
Congratulations John ! really love your videos, you have had a big influence on my choice of broadheads over the last two years. Keep up the good work !
Glad to hear that. Thank you Ruan.
In reality, that verse you quoted just about sums it all up. Nothing but the way it is. I am so fortunate to be where I’m at in my life. And it all wasn’t because of me.
Amen. Well said, Tim.
Congratulations. Doesn’t matter the size, any animal harvested with archery gear is a trophy in my book. 👍🏻
Thank you
Congratulations on a great hunt! Sevr got some action too! Excellent shooting sir.
Haha. Yep. It did very well. Thank you
Congrats john. 👏im happy for you brother. Thanks for all you do for us bow hunters. Last year i bought the iron will single bevel ams didnt get a shot at a buck in kansas. I just bought the sevr 1.7s the other day. So i will have the same broadheads in my quiver as you did here. Besides yours being the sevr 1.5.and mine being the 1.7. But im excited. For this season coming up. Going back to kansas and southern new york like i do every year. Good luck this year.
Nice! Love the new Sevr 1.75
Awesome John. Definitely a dream hunt. Good job brother.
Thank you
That is GREAT! Congratulations John.
Thank you my friend.
Great hunt John. Congrats, brother!!!
Thanks Tim! Much appreciated brother.
Thanks for sharing. I love how you go into details on the broadheads used
It is worth mentioning being once the arrow gets to the animal it's the most important part of hunting at that moment it's going to give you success or a bad Day, sharpen, sharpen, and sharpen some more
Thanks Mike.
Congratulations awesome hunt thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for watching George.
Amazing, glad we could be a part of your first successful moose hunt.
Thanks for watching :)
Congratulations! Very awesome! I got my first moose on Sept 29 with my bow as well, mine was 4 yards, fell in less than 20 yards, took him with a Striker V2 100 grain, through the lungs, very effective head.
Nice! Congratulations! I wanted to hunt the rut like that, but the only opening was this super early archery only hunt.
That's Awesome!
Now you're a Canadian
Haha. Thank you :) I love hunting in Canada...shot a couple bears, a wolf & now a moose so far/
Congrats nice bull 👍🏼 I’m going to Alberta for archery only hunt next year.
Thank you. Good luck!
Very Happy for you John ! Great Job!!
Thanks Mike! Hope all is well with you.
Congrats John! Awesome shot!
Thank you
You did it again John! Congrats on your trip of a lifetime, glad you did your part when it counted. Look forward to stalking the pigs with ya again down here in the swamp
Thanks brother. I look forward to that as well.
So awesome! Thanks for creating and sharing this video. I am blessed this year to have drawn my first moose tag and this gets me really excited. I'm from Wyoming and moose is now a once in a lifetime permit for residents. Any advice or pointers on arrow and broadhead setup or anything else?! Right now im shooting 70lb, 28" draw and 500 to 600 grain arrows depending on what my final broadhead selectuon is.
Thank you. And congratulations on drawing that tag! What a blessing. And that is a fantastic set up. You can use a lot of different broadheads. I’d go with a Sevr if you want a mechanical. For a fix there are many great options.
This is broadhead testing at it's finest. Congrats on the bull... what a beautiful place to hunt moose!
Right? Thanks Jared.
Awesome hunt and congratulations, thanks for keeping the videos clean and can watch in front of my children. Just curious about what’s the average cost for that trip all expenses? Just got a bucket wish list?
Thank you. The prices vary so much, based on the outfitter and the location of the hunt. You can just do some searching online to find the best values.
What a beautiful bull, great shooting, congrats!
Thank you!
Congratulations John. Awesome hunt.
Thank you
Congratulations John! Happy for you😎😎
Thank you!
Great Job. Congrats on your 1st Moose. I hope to one day be able to Moose hunt.
Thanks Darren.
Hallelujah John! That's great that u were able to go up there during that really clear weather period in northern North America. Even if it was a little warm. 😀 One thing I can always count on with your videos is the element of surprise @ the moment of truth. There never is a rushed shot & the arrow flight is true. ➕️ your videos r better than u r giving them credit for. I could tell that both shots were right on the money with that 2nd shot being just a tad low. Congrats again on your 1st bull moose! 👏
Thanks brother. Much appreciated.
Congratulations on your first Moose , and it sounds like you had a great guide 👍 😀 👏
Thank you...yeah, Glenn was great.
Congratulations John that’s awesome
Awesome shot. Awesome bull

So happy for you John.
Thank you Ron. And thanks for the Stay Sharp Guides!
Great hunt, congratulations on your first Moose.
Thank you David
Great Hunt John! Meat and memories are always the best trophy.
Yes sir. Thanks brother.
Never apologize for the size of your harvest. AWESOME!
Thanks for watching :)
Congratulations John! If you were to do it all over again would you arm yourself with the same broadhead selection?
Great work, really enjoy all your content and testing!
I'd probably just go with the Sevr 1.5 or maybe the Trifecta Fixed as well.
Uhhhhhmazing! Great footage. Great hunt.
Thank you brother!
Great shot! A truly beautiful animal and such a special place. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Congratulations!! Beautiful country!!
Thank you. Yeah, I didn't expect it to be so beautiful there.
Awesome job, and congratulations!
Thank you
Man that is awesome!!!! conrats buddy
Thanks brother. Much appreciated.
Congrats John! Great Bull.
Thank you Dozier.
Congratulations John!!! One of my dreams hunts. That is awesome that they pick up your meat. Good luck out there! Take care and God bless. -Love from NH
Thank you!
@@LuskArcheryAdventures you're welcome.
Congratulations John. It’s a trophy if you like it that is all that matters. Moose is my dream hunt
Amen. Thank you. I was thrilled with it. I just know if I don't say I know it's "not huge," then a lot of viewers will kindly point that out for me :)
Congratulations 🎉🍾 🥂 That’s awesome!
Thanks brother.
Awesome hunt John, congratulations looks like an amazing experience.
Thank you Justin.
Who cares how big it is it’s a hunt of a life time and you have a Moose on the ground👍💪
Amen! Thanks Carl.
Awesome congrats great shooting . Im trying sevr 1.5 125gr this year on whitetail because of your testing them and great results, God bless
Nice. Good luck Mosin.
Outstanding...!!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Bill.
Great job. Congratulations
Thank you
congrats brother! you truly are a lucky man.
Yeah, I am really blessed for sure.
What GoPro is that? The screen barely jumped on the shot…great video..I might have to get one of those cameras.
It is a Hero 9 Black. Since the Hero 7 came out, they have a digital stabilization that keeps the shot or any movement really smooth.
Congratulations John! Trophy for sure. Give Glory to God, Amen.
Amen. Thank you Aaron.
Well done man, dandy bull. Cheers from Newfoundland.
Thank you Len.
congrats, on one of our Canadian moose. ain't nothing wrong with the size of that one. by far, my favourite meat.
Thank you.
Beautiful moose. I live in Newfoundland and hunt moose every year. Didn't get a chance to let an arrow fly during the archery season...Congrats!
Thank you!
Well done, great choice on heads. Super exciting hunt, congrats
Thank you!
nice One yeah Thank God for all we have and can do
Amen. Thank you Tracy.
Great video, congratulations on a great hunt
Thank you!
Top job as usual John. Both with the hunt and capturing the emotion of the hunt in a video. Please can you say what weight Iron Will you were using. Guessin the 100 or 125 grain to match the Sevr for consistency?
Thank you. It was the Iron Will Solid Single Bevel with Bleeders, 125 gr. Sevr was also 125 gr.
not neccessarily. one could have add on inserts in one arrow requireing a 125 and one without any add on inserts requiring a 200 grain broadhead, for example. I imagine the iron will planes a little more often at distance and is the reason he kept a mechanical in the quiver.
Well done mate great result. How great is that mate
Thank you!
Congratulations John 👍
Thank you
Love that you incorporate God into everything. All praise and glory to Him. Great work! Looks like an amazing adventure! Truly blessed. Would love to take a moose one day with my Elite Ritual 33.
Thanks Jonathan 🙏
Congratulations John
Thank you!
Congrats John!
Thanks Cameron.
This is amazing! Loving it.
Thank you. Just ate some moose chili for lunch today :)
What an experience! Thank god for these amazing animals!
Right? Thank you
Great Video! I'm curious of what you used for an arrow? I am going on an Archery moose hunt in Maine in a couple weeks. Thanks John
Hey John. I used my normal set up: 440 grains, 20% FOC-Bishop FOC King Arrows
@@LuskArcheryAdventures Thank you
Congratulations Buddy!
Thank you Daniel.
