Nice clear instructions Justin. Catching up with the odd older vids. Of course regs with 150mm cavities are in force since this one. Wider footings, wider lintels, thicker insulation and much increased costs i would imagine. Cheers 😱👍👍
Great video do you leave the lintel to go off before putting the block work I'm not a builder but I'm putting my own in to make a bigger gap for a big window any advice would be great cheers

Absolutely spot on that Brad.
Bang tidy lads. Keep the vids a comin' 👍👍
Appreciate your comments as always will do thanks 👍👍
Okay to use a 3m standard duty for single story with 2.7m bifold?
I'd say so but if you have a set of plans I'd follow what's stipulated on there 👍
Great video. Quick question. My builder did not add the 18 inch DPC on top of the Heavy Duty Catnic Lintel. Is this still okay?
On that type of lintel its ok but if its a different type then depending on which one is used it may need the dpc tray 👍many thanks
It's fine if the catnic is directly under the roof height, the roof felt itself does the job of the cavity tray at that point.
Can we screw and fix the window frame to this type of lintel?
I believe you can 👍

Hi Patrick
Thanks for the comment. No need to let the mortar set mate .good luck 👍
Does this work with 150mm cavity please.
It does ray but this was some time ago so id always recommend you check with local building control in your area 👍
Whats minimum thicknes we need for double building if can tell please
Well in wales its 100mm block or brick inside and out and 125mm cavity so total thickness of 325mm .hope that helps 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping thank you so much much appreciated God give you long and healthy life
Noticed that you didn't check that it was level across the cavity wall gap, it may have been high/low front to back otherwise great video.
It was level Glenn and gauge. Appreciate it mate 👌 👍
