      This is a classic experiment we have used for years and years. We use our recipe from our own book we wrote "Life All Around Us" (Bio 1 lab manual)

    Hi Professor Revell, do potatoes or ridge gourd have more catalase? Which fruit or vegetable has the most catalase? What is the best way to extract and preserve catalase?

    • @ProfessorRevell
      @ProfessorRevell  4 года назад +7

      Good questions. Not sure. Potatoes are the classic example always used. Potatoes are actually a type of modified STEM (not a root). I'd start by investigating the experiment with root structures like carrots or yams. Not sure how one would preserve catalase. You could try freezing a potato for few days and then see if the experiment still works. Maybe I'll try that and upload it here.
