- Some men are skilled athletes. Others are bold mathematicians. Today, we see exactly what Jake is skilled in - blindly guessing at country outlines.
Still recovering from the news this month, so I needed an ez gg.

American geography skill at its finest
It's so nice the Swag Academy spends some time teaching americans there are other countries in the world.
I love the fact that on the thumbnail they take an island from Greece that I can’t for the life of me remember it’s real name but in arma 3 they call that island “Altis”.
💯💯💯
Imagine needing multi choice for this
Real
Tbf a couple of them were difficult
@@AwesomeIan135 which one bro 💀💀💀
@@rnd.0m458 I guess mostly the Slovakia one
as an american (who is pretty great at geography) I am routinely disappointed and lightly pissed off that there is a stereotype that we don't know geography and it's true. Good video though
Well, it's more of a binary. Americans either know their shit or have no idea. And it generally depends on if they took a geography class or not.
@Tarakson55 Because we're kinda isolationist.
@Tarakson55 Most Americans just don't care. When you have such a big country and oceans on both sides, you don't need to know very many countries.
But there is no excuse if an American can't name the 50 states. I don't know what is up with that.
@Tarakson55 I was never required to take a geography class in my entire American education.
@@ProcyonLotorGaming I missed two on this one (I'd have missed three in Jake's position because Florida was too funny to pass up). I'm not at all confident I would do that well on the 50 states of my home country. Certain ones are obvious because they have distinct features to their borders (CA,FL,TX,OK,MO, IL, etc) but trying to guess which perfect rectangle is Wyoming and which is Colorado? Or the Dakotas? Or half of New England?
I could do it on a blank map of the US, but with each state pulled out as an outline with no context? I'd be pretty happy with an 80 percent.
The Aus-China joke is gold
I only got around ~80% on a test of US states recently :D
He definitely did better than me on this, I would not have been able to get this many countries I don't think
Without the multiple choice I would not get a passing grade. Lol
Hey, Jake actually did really well!
Someone save us, our education is making us stupid and the teachers are trying so hard, we really are!
May the moon be your guiding light Jake o7
*Angry New Zealand Noises* (atleast we are on this one)
Kiwi propaganda we all know there's no such thing as a New Zealand, I learned that from my school's globe
I should do this test, to feel smarter
I missed two, though had I been in his position I'd have answered Florida on general principle.
Smh Jamaica is clearly in the baltic sea my head
yes
I'm from country no. 40 and this quiz would be easy... Only got one wrong. It always amuses me watching americans struggle with geography.
I'm from Portugal too and he did really well. I would've gotten maybe 70% with some luck. People can sick at geography no matter the country they're from
This is painful
I want more
Didn't Bionicel get a small revive recently?
I think the Sir Swag Academy logo is a bit too small. It should be larger.
As a american that actually knows nations outside of the Americas and europe this pains me greatly
8:00 HAHAHAH
2:35 Winnie would not be happy with this site, but I am!
What is this random Lemmos/altis on the thubnail?
Click bait for the Arma 3 crowd
@@sirswagacademy it did work. And I am not mad
I love watching Americans struggle with basic geography
He is 100% worse than most Americans at Geography.
@@ZeStreD As a teacher. No, no he isn't. A few months ago we did a poll to ask people to point at Iran and someone pointed at America
@@samwill7259 If you are going to pull anecdotes, then I am a social studies teacher as well. I haven't seen a 9th grader yet that couldn't point to out any country on a map that their coursework actually covered in some way shape or form.
The problem Americans have with world geo is that 90% of their curriculum doesn't actually require you to know where somewhere is physically to actually learn what the course is trying to teach.
If you actually take the time to give students some basic orientation of the globe, they tend to walk away knowing at least the major countries they cover in their coursework.
Nobody is going to find Angola on a map unless they are a map nerd. But if you teach them where the UK is when you do a Revolutionary War unit, they are going to retain it.
Don't lump all of the US in with the parts of the country that have been failing in education for decades.
Now sit him down Infront of seterra
What have u done to cut out to part where u ofc identified south korea. Pls tell me u knew it was South korea
