Me watching kpop ends when they disbanded. Coming back now after i heard about thier comeback. Listened to new groups at it seems that 2ne1 really set the bar to high no change at all. 2ne1 songs didn't get old at all. Hoping for new songs.
You need to watch the LIVE version of Crush. It is fire!! I keep that video in my favorites so I can watch it. Those women know how to rock. And the live band was amazing. If only to be in the audience when they did that performance. 🔥🔥
I love this group and this album so much. The live version of Crush is one of my all time faves. I don't think newer kpop fans truly understand how revolutionary 2NE1 was. There was nothing like them in kpop before and as soon as they arrived, you started to see a lot other groups change their styles. They are the original girl crush group. Nothing about them fit the traditional kpop mold and they were breaking barriers, making headway in the west, getting global advertising contracts, becoming darlings of the international fashion scene... things that seem more common now -- but they were the first. What happened to them is an absolute travesty. They were starting to really break through to the western market, CL was recording her English solo album (at least 1 music video was even recorded), touring the festival circuit with Diplo, the girls were back in Korea preparing for their next album... and controversy struck. I'm still convinced they could have survived based on how big their fandom was internationally alone. But YG had a new group coming out that he insultingly referred to as being like 2NE1 but prettier. The minute CL re-signed her 5 year contract with YG, he disbanded the group, put their primary producer and main collaborator on the new group's projects, and basically locked CL in a dungeon unable to release new music FOR FIVE WHOLE YEARS! She was even invited to perform the opening ceremony for the Olympics and had to organize and pay for everything herself, because YG wouldn't even support her at the freaking Olympic opening ceremonies!!! I hope that someday we'll get a tell-all book from the girls, because I'm dying to know what those conversations were like behind the scenes. Anyway, I'm glad you're discovering them. Their career was cut short, but the music lives on. Nolja!

I will always hate YG for not taking good care of 2NE1 with all do respect to BP but they only exist because of 2NE1. And on a side note 2NE1’s older catalog is even better than the ones you heard “Missing you” is a masterpiece
Actually YG forced them to disband,telling them that the crush album is a flopped( According to dara that album was flopped but it solds million copies worldwide and all the songs in the album are no.1, So she was confused on the reason of total disbandment)
