The Eunjangdo was traditionally given to Korean daughters as a symbol of their family's honor and to emphasize the importance of chastity and fidelity before marriage. It’s basically a chastity knife which is supposed to be small knife unlike depicted in this show. I should know cause I actually own a real Eunjangdo which I got when I was 14 years old a part of Korean cultural heritage. During the time in the 19th century it was mostly women who would carry around an Eunjangdo in order to protect their virginity from men.
