Man I miss 33rd street. All of my best memories growing up in the 80's were spent there, win or lose.

I am a life long Yankee fan.....started in 1969.... but have always admired the Orioles for their excellence while I was growing up in the 1970's.....

I loved Jon Miller's voice and delivery style. A real loss to Orioles fans when Angelos dismissed him.

Angelos is the worst thing to ever happen to the Baltimore Orioles.

My Dad had a mini plan at Memorial Stadium and I saw the last game, but my Dad said we had to leave early and missed the farewell ceremonies. We always could find free parking a few blocks from the stadium.
The Baysox were the last baseball team to play there in 1993 because their stadium in Bowie wasn't ready, Major League II was filmed in both Camden Yard which was the Indians home park and Memorial which was the road field.

Do you guys remember the 1993 All Star game that took place at Baltimore's Camden Yards? Cal Ripken is the Iron man.

That trade for Davis gutted the O's...we gave up Finley Harnish and Schilling...Davis was always hurt

I love Baltimore Memorial Stadium but the last few years of it for baseball were pretty bad for the Orioles except for 1989.

It really did. I think Finley had a little bit extra help in his career, but who didn't back in the '90's? Losing Schilling and seeing the HOF career he went on to have was a bad taste in our mouth for a few years. We really could've used him in '96 & '97 during the postseason. Then again, Curt could've probably pitched the game of his life during the '97 postseason, and the O's wouldn't score him any runs. i.e. Mike Mussina against the Indians in the ALCS when he struck out 15 batters.

What a good deal at the time, and then the bottom fell out once Glenn stepped foot off the airplane.

we would have been good in '91 if we hadn't traded for glenn davis.... we traded finley, schilling AND harnisch!

I'm a nervous wreck trying to figure out whom I love the most: George H.W. Bush (appearing in this video with the Queen) or the Orioles. It worries me to death. And then there is the baseball-owning son now as 43rd president. This is all too good to be true and more excitement than a fellow could expect to experience in a lifetime. Go Orioles Go!
