- Опубликовано: 11 апр 2024
- It’s our last day at Watches & Wonders in Geneva, so we’re recapping everything we saw. We talk about the best watches we saw all week, the best watches under $10,000, drop some of our spiciest takes, and then all of us - all seven of us - pick one watch we saw that we’d purchase, money no object.
Thanks to Lucid Motors for sponsoring this week’s live recordings of Hodinkee Radio from Geneva.

we need more people sitting cross legged in this video.
It must be a Hodinkee standard pose, seems like they were all coached on that. Maybe next time the setting should be at a table or something.
Thanks to the entire Hodinkee Team for the great, free content across W&W. Enjoyed it. Safe travels departing Geneva.
Mr. James Stacey and the iconic green jacket!
Can’t believe no one picked the Portugieser Eternal Calendar. That one was impressive!
" 550.000 us for bulgari is not that bad " 😂😂😂😂😂 earth calling Ben
well, compared to a lesser looking 2M RM I agree. it's all relative:)
The woman knew that statement was gonna get comments 😂
Well done Hodinkee team, another great year of coverage for all us watch fans.
Its so good to see Jonathan sit down with the crew and discuss watches.
Excellent coverage all week! Thank you!
thank you Joe, Jonathan & the rest of the team! was great, following along through you
Loved the ending of this video! Great work guys!
I loved the 4 episodes ! Thank you !
It was great watching you during this Geneva week guys. Great show, great atmosphere great people, thank you 👍🏾
Thanks Crew. These episodes have been the highlight of W&W for me and you are all Rockstars!!
Thanks guys for a week of great videos
Awesome coverage, thanks for sharing these nice daily episodes from the show
Great job covering the week, looking forward for next years. 👍
Love the contant, BUT why non of you have mentioned the new Grand Seiko watches such as the new Evolution 9 White birch watches or the crazy and beautiful KODO Constant-force Tourbillon is beyond me! The KODO would be my choice!
Excellent. Thank you for all your updates this week. Best regards from the UK. Simon
Malaika slays….look forward to seeing her more on then channel.
That was a good show boys and girls thanks for the insights!
Rolex will roll out a couple surprise models over the next few months
Next time please do a full round table for the 10k budget ! Great show anyway!
Great choices
I’ve really enjoyed W&W’24. Sure there have been no standout “hype” pieces, but there have still been some great watches, good talking points, interesting directions from the brands etc. And the content has been great from Hodinkee ❤
gotta say, malaika is bringing some fun energy to these videos. and she seems more comfortable claiming her space in the conversation too. keep it up.
also, nice gesture thanking the crew like that.
Sometimes the moderator was rude with her.
They all shop at the same store.
Im looking forward to a longer recap podcast when you get back home.
Oh, wow...Hodinkee is still a thing?
Vibes were mostly weird this year. Are they having any fun at all?
No. They got rid of the old Hodinkee magic and nowadays are nothing more than a soulless corporate entity.
Great to see the H team's outfits looking very tonally coordinated 🟢🟤🩶
Dears
Did you notice Parmigiani??
GRAND seiko chronograph?
Cartier Privè?
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. Great
Not one mention of Vacheron, ouch
I’m with you. The rose gold & olive green Overseas range is superb.
@@KeepingWatchUKi’m a Vacheron fan boy but even i think VC’s releases were pretty below average this year .. huge disappointment
I get the sense that the apparent lack of innovation is just covid lockdown echo given what I assume is a multi-year R&D cycle. The standouts seem to have been iterations on prior initiatives - Piaget and Bulgari, VC's Berkley already in development before the completion of the 57260, etc. Makes IWC's Eternal Calendar a bit more impressive in that context.
Strong beard panel
It would be great to return to the days when we watched videos like this and, if we decided to, could go to an authorized dealer to purchase a watch. We would buy them not just because they’re cool, but because we appreciate watchmaking. Now, everyone seems to be showing off, and watch manufacturers want to capitalize on it, turning true watch enthusiasts into window shoppers. If we genuinely wanted to support the watch industry and weren't concerned about short-term greed, we would speak up against the watch brands that are restricting supply.
I assume you’re referring to Rolex. Note that it’s the ADs at play here & not the brand itself. Either way, waiting a few months isn’t the end of the world is it? I’ve managed to source a handful of Rolex pieces from the AD since covid. Just be nice & patient & you’ll get the watch you want (Ok, so Daytona aside 😆)
What I care about is Patek, and from Rolex, the Daytona. Saying "a few months" is misleading. My ADs used to call me two months after a show to let me know I could purchase a watch. After COVID, they hardly receive anything from Rolex. It's not the ADs' fault; these ADs wait to see what Rolex bestows upon them, which is ridiculous.
Lately, my favorite thing of Hodinkee is how cringy Danny Milton is. He has been like that since the beginning but now the entire crew just laughs while exchanging glances with each other.
More so is the white socks with black shoes combo 😉
"Maybe it's a cultural thing"
I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you for the coverage and I do not give AF about Lucid Motors ✊🏻
Whats the name of the watch in the thumbnail
Patek World Time 5330G-001
What watch is Tony wearing?
Looks like a Rolex 1016
@@jarjiehfang2545Thank you!
The moderator, a little bit rude with the lady.
Most dissapointing event in a decade. Kinda glad i didnt have the time to come. Thanks for your coverage
Patek has lost their identity IMO by pandering to trends instead of driving lasting designs.
what a disappointment this W&W2024 has ben, lack of courage and creativity is nothing short of appalling. microbrands are the only ones doing something fresh and fun these days,
Not every year can be a banger. All the watches presented didnt happen in the last year, they have been planned and produced for years. In other words, brands are working on WnW 2026-28 now. It wouldnt be a bad thing if WnW happens every two years.
A bore fest!
i think this crew needs to watch more of this watch that watch. it would explain much they seem confused about.
I must be the only person who thinks that Rolex looks cheap
Ended video after the first four minutes of discussing half a million dollar toy like thin watches. This group has no taste whatsoever just gawking watches that are overpriced.
Aside the price, surely the watch is worth a mention given how thin it is!? It’s a real innovative& tech advanced piece of watch making to realise a COSC piece so thin…
Unwatchable. Sorry.
