@@OldSchoolNI You directed me to here through FB this morning, got some old demo tapes here still I think of a particular popular machinery firm now gone.
Just brilliant and very well filmed the ford 9700 in 2wd would have been unusual nice to see the Marshall and the David brown when they were in their prime👍
Glad you enjoyed. We can't take credit for the filming as it wasn't us but certainly is impressive - no image stabilisation back then! We just do the work to capture, digitise and restore it. More good stuff to come!
love the David Brown.. my uncle had something similar.. possibly a 1690 but definitely 2wd 🤩.. and the lovely JD with yellow roof we got a glimsp of at 35sec 🥰
As someone who never had anything to do with chopping grass, is it possible to have the trailers collecting on the right of the chopper ? I’m just thinking of the chopper drivers neck and how he would see the spout better that way.
@@OldSchoolNI not that I know of but if i hear of any footage i will let you know, eddie Byrne agri had a 2100 and a 2200 new holland self propelled harvesters picking up the grass ,he also had a ford 7700 drawing in with the 8700's ,and eddie himself was driving a 312 farmaster pushing up the grass
Cor yeah that 97 is a rare beast and 2wd can't of been many at all, and particularly loving the young lad in the Brown bloody marvellous stuff!
Thanks for watching. If you know of anyone else with stashes of old tapes let us know. Happy to digitise anything we get.

@MrHYDRO84 can you please get in touch via facebook? Would love to hear more about what you've got.
Jack's 97 was legendary. Maby one of the largest machines in the Braid back then. Great footage and sound.
Some machine and I think very unusual in the 2wd
Most 97 were two wheel drive, I drove one harvesting with a potting harvester in the 90s on contract it was very reliable.
Nothing better then a big 2wd Ford we used to run a 2wd tw15 with 5 furrows and a press on pretty tough soil and a7 leg shakerator great machines.
Your right, hard to beat! More old stuff to come soon...
Very young driver on the 1490...😮
Good pilot...👍
Yep living the dream at that age!
I think that's denver in the db1490 jacks son he used to lift in the tw15 when I was there
I'd say he is delighted
Absolutely fantastic video, field full of classic tractors that were only 10-12 years old at most then.
Thanks for watching as always David. Absolutely class fleet. Just wait to you see the next one!
@@OldSchoolNI
Looking forward to that!

Thanks John, 97 very unusual. Don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it. More to come!

Brilliant video 👍🏻🚜💨
Thanks for watching! More to come
Brilliant action memories of the old days
glad you enjoyed it. More to come, especially if you like the blue stuff!
Brilliant like it 8700 on double chop 7700 and 7000 on trailer duty and John deere on pit duty
No video camera then or camera phones lol 😂
Great video
Proper old school grass
Do you know anyone driving?
Thanks lad, I don't personally, but think the 9700 driver still works in Kennedy's?
Think that's denver carting in the dB 1490 an think that's Brian fleck in the marshal yeah i remember the guy in the harvester is it william kennedy?

Aye that's a good point and I think some of the newer models were built that way. Definitely hard on the neck otherwise!
Absolute class video, perfect footage
We enjoyed this one too, some great stuff stashed away on old tapes I'm sure. Thanks for watching.
I ve seen an 8700 but didn't know there was a 9700
Yes very unusual round these parts. There was a 4wd option too. Class looking machines.
@@OldSchoolNI their is an agri contractor in Kilkenny who back in 1991 had 3 8700 2 wheel drive Fords drawing in silage, they were mighty machines
@@davidbrennan3613 nice, any videos of that knocking about?
