Johnny Depp's look as Edward is iconic, now. Such a unique costume, hair, makeup (and of course the hands). One thing that often gets overlooked is the old age makeup on Winona Ryder as the grandma. It's not flawless, of course, but all things considered, I consider it among the very good age makeups of the era. Some people have complained about it, wondering why they didn't just cast an old lady- but I like how you can see it's Winona in there, reminiscing about her youth and the love she lost. Using a different actress wouldn't have had the same effect, in my opinion. As age makeups go, this is one of the quite good ones! Especially considering Winona was so young, and she was made so old, that is notoriously difficult to pull off well. But they did! The makeup team- Ve Neill and her crew- on this film was top notch! Opinions may vary and that's fair, but in my opinion, I like it.
I trimmed all my hedges to look like Ellie and Michelle. 😮 Your next Johnny Depp movie should be Benny & Joon and your next Winona Ryder movie should be Heathers.

A weird looking place that also overlooks a suburban neighborhood in Southern California and where he also met Paul Reubens and Danny Elfman.
Now for the movie "Cry Baby" starring Johnny Depp, if you have not seen it and reacted to it already. "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock is a good one, too.
