the quest of the bloody baron can be a game it self.
yeah loved that quest
deneld tremp I just finished that quest and it was amazing.
deneld tremp its my favorite and the one of the reasons I started a new game next to that I never finished it because I not good in the game
wanderingbufoon Never liked the Witcher, owned it since release, a week ago, I forced myself to play it. I couldn't get hooked, too boring. Now, after the bloody Baron, it was THE reason why I like the Witcher now.
he was stil an asshole to me for my 2nd run through but on my 3rd I decided to just really get to know him. there are times which it was really hard especially when I wanted to slaughter those baron bastards that were at the crossroad village who wanted to rape the girls and such.
This masterpiece was created under a budget price? I refuse to believe this.
Would you also believe that The Witcher 3 is also CD Project Reds third game ever developed?
Brock They didn't have a publisher and investors breathing down their neck to release the game during a certain quarter of the year.
TW3 cost less than half the budget of GTA 5, cost 20mils less than GTA 4 and Skyrim. Not to mention, nearly half of the budget for the Witcher 3 went to marketing so the game development cost itself could be even lower. During the development of TW3, CD Project team is 2/10 the size of Ubisoft (counting only the employees that work on AC), 1/10 the size of Rockstar and 2.5/10 size of Bioware. Not only did CD Project Red created a masterpiece, but they did something that no other game studio could have done. Therefore, I have the deepest respect for CD Project Red and it kind of upsets me that the game did not sell as well as other games in that year, it didn't even break the top 5 chart of best selling games even though it won multiple awards in 2015.
yep. good as it may be, witcher isn't casual... thouugh with over 25 million combined sales (the first witcher sold 800K in it's time so i guess most come from 3) they were rewarded handsomely for their efforts.
Keep in mind the cost of living in poland is lower than the US which attributed to lower dev costs.
"Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed witcher... I'll never know. Something wrong with my face?" My favourite quote so far 😂...
Mine is Geralt to Philippa : If you're angling for a fivesome there's clearly no room, and also yours
Michal Iškovský “Shh, you’ll scare Geralt”

@@bakisha8564 This is not Zoltan`s quote.
107 facts you should know! "The Witcher 3 is the THIRD game in the series!" Thanks man, I never would have figured that one out.
ac 3 is not the third part in the series, there might be people who dont know about the witcher series
erkin whoever would think witcher “3” is the first witcher game has to have some mental retardation honestly
@@zxidi LOL
The Witcher III may be the third in the series but some video game titles such as Halo don't follow that rule, Halo 4 for example is NOT the 4th game in that series, that would go to Halo 3 ODST. After ODST came Halo Reach which would *technically* be the fourth but it was realized after ODST so it's really the 5th. Making Halo 4 the 6th game in the series and Halo 5 Guardians the 7th. So not *all* games follow this rule
It is like how Fallout 76 is not the 76th Fallout game and battlefield 1 is not the first game in the series...
In Blood and Wine expansion there is a dead man on the beginning and his initials are D.L.C.
Not to mention Conan O' Brian has a tombstone. Died from over titillation 😂😂😂
De la croix
De la croix or something
Not only his initial are D.L.C but he died chocking on a bunch of gold coins which was a reference to Ubisoft and such making gamers play for their dlc's 😉
I miss this game so bad, wish I could forget it all so I could play it again. I mean I'll still play it again at some point but it's not quite the same. My favorite game by a mile, absolute masterpiece. Also Blood and Wine was just such a nice ending to it all, Hearts of Stone was good but I absolutely loved Toussaint.
Pleaaaase let the series continue.
cappew22 I feel you
cappew22 they are making another game but it has nothing to with geralt
If they did, chances are it's gonna be about Cirilla - determining which ending is canon.
I'm sad it's the end of the trilogy but at least they ended with a DLC that was on its own better than 90% of the games that have come out in the past decade.
Better die like a legend, than live on shame... like assassins creed.
"I hear Witchers carry tao swords, one of steel for humans and one of silver for monsters"
Geralt: "both are for monsters..."
He references bad humans
tao swords? are they Chinese monks? :P jk ur spelling error
Atlas I mean... duh...
The narrator sounds like dandelion 😂
That's all I can hear now lmao
You right
Spot on
He doesn't sound like him at all
U didn't mention the possibility of Ciri being in cyberpunk 2077 when she tells Geralt she had travelled to a world with flying cars n that she was there for a time around 6 months.... So will we see Ciri in cyberpunk..? God I hope so even as a cameo or a side quest would excite witcher fans every where including me!
CDRP universe lol
Brandon Taylor
I’m hoping you get to maybe bump into Ciri during a mission or cutscene, but having it be the central part of the mission/cutscene. Or that you can see her in the distance but not interact with her or something like that.
She was there for like 6 months, right? Or was it different world? Dunno. But mission or two would be cool.
The Cyberpunk devs are actually getting tired and annoyed of this question. So many people keep asking if they will see Ciri on this game
@@Nick-Terakidan they actually said no she wont show up but i feel that's them just throwing a fit cause fans keep bugging them
They gave us an already packed, solid game with the base game. Then gave us two amazing DLC releases. One of which gave us a whole new map. Altogether, this package is worth the $85-90 all that cost and then some. More developers need to take note on how DLC should be handled.
Bloody Persistent Fun thing is I got the game 2 weeks after launch for 40 bucks and I got all the DLC for only 15 bucks. So I got absolutely everything for only €55,-. I got one hell of a bargain!
Bloody Persistent I bought it at 40$ Wasn't sure if an RPG would be my playstyle but ah truly the best new thing I have ever experienced
Bloody Persistent I just bought the complete edition for 20 bucks
Justin LaFon YOAH YOU GOT THE DEAL FROM XBOX LIVE TOO?
Justin LaFon me too :D
I met the author Andzrej Sapkowski and he signed every book in the series for me in London!
Why? He was lovely to me
Harry LEVI He is just a grumpy old man
Old or grumpy whatever, he created one of the best saga IMO.
He says that he hates the games just because he made a poor deal when giving CDPR the license to make them. He's a grumpy, salty old man.
Not sure if this is true, and I couldn't find the quote again, but I heard someone say that he said something along the lines of he doesn't talk to people who play the games because they aren't intelligent enough. If anyone could find the source of this quote, weather it be fake or real, I'd be grateful.
NinjaChicken: He said that he doesn’t know many people who played the games because he tends to surround himself with intelligent people. It’s funny to me how people get so offended by this.
Cat eyes not viper eyes.
And yes, he can see in the dark...
Abusin' every one of them and running wild
James Teegarden That one lady at the festival for the Crones says he has "eyes like a viper"
In the books they're described as "viper eyes" but cat eyes and viper eyes look so similar it's tough to tell the difference.
They're described in-game as viper eyes damn near every time.
"She was mentioned in the original Source books" bruh she was literally the Second most important character
Never did like portals.
Clickbaiter lol Geralt
Recognises the reference
😏
Realizes it's a weaksauce reference
🙄
they do make the stomach churn...
Last time I was early Geralt was a virgin......yeah I've never been early
Geralt lost his virginity at age 10
joke, I'm not aware of anything of the like and I've read the books a couple of times. I'm almost drunk right now so I'm not 100% sure since I can only remember that I went for a piss 2 minutes ago... or 3 ? But nevertheless that smells like bull crap and it shouldn't be me
He lost his virginity to a female downer
T McDonald Wouldnt be surprised
Cheesecake Just a jest my friend.
There's a also a reference to Pulp Fiction that I caught recently. It's during Zoltan's mission in Novigrad about the Gwent cards. You're supposed to get a Gwent card from a man name Zed. But once Geralt gets to Zed, he finds him dead.
Geralt even delivers the famous line by Bruce Willis, "Zed's dead".
There's also one in Crow's Perch when two of the Baron's men are talking and one says to another: "wee, bring out the gimp" and the other responds that he's sleeping and the conversation continues with the first guard asking the first one to wake him up.
Marine Force I think the devs just really like the movie
Just played that. Awesome reference. And good catch
The thumbnail promised "11117" facts!!

I never thought any game would top skyrim but the witcher 3 is unlike anything ive ever played, my respect for cd project red adds to how much I love this game.
Claire Spears Chrono trigger topped Skyrim.
Couldn't agree more. Years on and this game is still my idea of perfection
Claire Spears I liked oblivion much morr. Perhaps bc it was my first TES and open world game
Claire Spears I don't like comparing them. I see The Witcher 3 as a narrative RPG and Skyrim as a open-world RPG.
That Daedric Guy the witcher 3 is more open world than skyrim. But you’re right in that you can’t compare the two. One is a game that will not be topped in many years to come, and the other is an unfinished, buggy, unoptimized game developed from an outdated engine. While i still do think that skyrim is a masterpiece, it is only a masterpiece because it came before tw3 and was something never before seen. People can fanboy all they want to back skyrim, but the vast majority of players will agree that it is unplayable without mods.
Geralt's steel sword isn't meant for humans, it's a common misconception. It's for fighting monsters who are not susceptible to silver.
Grzegorz Wałach at least thats in the books, not sure whether its a mistake in the games or purposeful to make it more interesting
Grzegorz Wałach in the game Geralt explicitly says steel is for humans. If this isn't enough to convince you (idk why it would be), one of the soundtrack songs is "Steel for Humans"
JacksonDuncanDesigns for someone who read the books its rather clear that it's a kind of an inside joke since almost every character in the books "thinks" the steel sword is for humans but Geralt clears this up and explains that almost no one except for witchers knows it's true use.
During the loading screen of the game they mentioned silver is for monsters and steel for humanoids
actually Geralt states in game his steel sword is for humans and nonhumans
Bro, my gwent deck was unstoppable, but also, dozens of hours of gameplay? Haha that's funny, try 100+ hours
Tank 68 Try 1200.
Tank 68 I've got over 400 hours clocked. But then again I got all the DLC and played it twice.
How much Playthrough?
12 x 12 = 100 x 1.44
Nickolaus Afon Wait dude, yer saying 12x12 is 100?😂
12×12=144
10×10=100
I'm genuinely impressed and appreciative that you made this giant list, but kept it almost entirely spoiler free. I really enjoyed this video!
I thought gaunter o'dimm was the antagonist of hearts of stone
007 On The Road he isnt. Because you could chose to end olgierd instead of challenging odimm
If someone opposes the main character of the game, he is an Antagonist.
I'd call him the antagonist, von everic
shhhhhhh, spoilers
He absolutely is
Roach is a she not a he.
Yennefer Of Vengerberg did you just assume it's gender nigga??
Gokul Siva No I didn't. I'll ask Geralt later if you wish.
Geralt calls all of his horses Roach
Windir Yes he does but the one you have in game is a she. As seen when you get Uma he says "This is Roach she'll take us to Kear Morhen." and in the
B & W expansion when Roach talks
Yennefer Of Vengerberg roach is a he in blood and wine
``Blood and wine is much more lighthearted than the rest of the witcher 3´´ you know...except for all the gruesome killings by dettlaff, vampires treating humans like cattle, that part when vampires destroy a hole city, Geralt dying to the unseen elder and the ending where both sisters die or the one where one dies and you end up in prison, soooo lighthearted...
Nicolas Milanesa Yes? were you just elaborating on his point??
Nicolas Milanesa both can be alive if you know how
I know, just saying, there are more bad endings than good ones
the general vibe of the area and most quests is definitely more lighthearted. I get what he meant. compare walking around Toussaint to Velen...
Nicolas Milanesa i got the bad ending
18:05 “extremely fine sword”
Yeah sure
Hattori gives me sword I immediately sell it back to him " no peasant take this trash back and forge me a witcher blade"
Hey thanks for completing my level 24 quest, as a reward I shall give my finest work, this level 17 stell sword. By that time, I had already found a diagram for the blade from the bits but with better stats than the one he gives you. The real prize is now having hattori available to craft mastercraft witcher swords, but still come one, a sword 7 levels lower than the quest recommendation?
@@danielribeiro1433 well i see hattori is the only one who can craft highest level runestones
like greater glyph of igni ,quen etc
till nowi i dont find a single persion in the game who can craft runestone of this high level but dont know i m just 21 lvl and just entered skellige
Bs sword
My thoughts exactly 😂
The Skyrim arrow to the knee meme still going strong? End my suffering

What about Djenge Frett the most famous bountyhunter
Harbinger And Durden the Tailor!
There was also a Witcher from the School of the Cat named Schrödinger, though no one knew if he was alive or dead.
@@woutert114 Is that actually in the game? I love it :D
@@Markenjiru in the quest "where the cat and the wolf play". It might be DLC.
The traditional myth of Leshen is closer to dryads, mostly just chill nature spirits
Well except for the fact that Leshens are actually not forest spirits and are more like devilish creatures that eat people according to the lore leshens are often mistakenly believed to be benevolent forest spirits when actually they are just monsters with nature magic
And there are dryads in the witcher
Oh wait you mean like real life mythology my bad
"Assist the King of Radovid" uh, might wanna re think that sentence guys, great video though
Isn't this game also vesmir's end. Goddam it I miss that old guy.
Stephan Salvatore That's lambert. Vesimir dies regardless. Rip.
Vesemir dies even if you recruit Keira. If you don't Lambert dies as well
How many Witchers are there exactly in Witcher 3? How many are left? Are there rumors of others in the world outside Kaer Morhen?
SparxCarnival I think there are more Witchers. There were 6 different schools.
On the ohter hand, the fact that they stopped recruiting children because they didn't need more might had ended with witchers
Not true, I killed Keira and Lambert lived.
-You played in Witcher 2 as other minor characters
-I can't say first 2 games were open worlds
-Sco E atell
Did you just say "The king of Radovid"? Wow...
angel07p well hes not wrong but then again he wouldve changed the countrys name into radovidland instead.
Imagine CDPR doing a batman game. Gotham would have so many things to do
Joshua Cabanillas
They are doing Cyberpunk 2077. At least that has a city setting.
My dream is that CRPR would make a rpg game in the world of ice and fire....
Or a star wars game
Joshua Cabanillas
I think a CDPR Batman game would be awesome! CDPR seems to love these moral dilemma themes. Which would be very fitting, cus you know Batman! I’m hoping they’re gonna explore things like that in Cyberpunk 2077, though. ... What it means to be human. Social norms. Etc etc.
I want them to do Witcher game where you create your own witcher, put in some story, that resolves in some monster hunting and just go and explore, do contracts and so on.
Just starting witcher 3 today!!! Wish me luck!!!!
masta inc I've been binge playing it I love it
lol i started last week too. Steam had an amazing deal for all 3 games
So ... did you get to Novigrad? Lol.
I got the Game of the Year Edition with all the DLC like 3 months ago and I'm going to tell you right now try to avoid that main story as much as possible because now I'm trying to catch up on all the secondary quests before I go to the Isle of Mists again LOL
OofGenocide Twitch same 👌
Geralt is actually "The Witcher" after the trial of the grasses he proceeded to do even more mutations to become even stronger and he is the only one who has ever survived that. (That is also why his hair is white)
Statistically speaking 3/10 boys survive the trial of the grasses, he's not the only one who did.
@@hellatrash0 yes but he not only did the trial of the grasses he also did even more mutating
@@LestorLP I don't think that's right
@@bakisha8564 what you "think" is irrelevant. What he says is a fact.
The Witcher 3 has made me wish to read the books, and play the rest of the games. Not to mention, finish the game itself.
I can't believe that you did not mention Ciri refrencing Cyberpunk when you find her, and try asking her what worlds she visited.
damn dude 11,117 facts crammed into 25 minutes. that's impressive
#60; The steel sword is actually used for monsters who are resistant to silver or who have such a thick skin that only steel can cut it. They do use the steel sword against humans but only because the silver sword is too delicate to use against them since striking or parrying an armed opponent will ruin a silver sword.
Great video.
“SOY-AT-TAY-TELL” 😬
You mean “SK-OI-YA-TELL”. 😂
The witchers have 2 swords, one of silver and one of steel. But both are for monsters, as some monsters are sensitive to silver, while some are not (and it's not worth it to blunt the silver sword on them). Normally witchers do not kill humans or other sentient beings (Geralt refuses to kill a siren in the books)
Just felt I had to go there: "if i'm to choose between one evil and another i'd rather not choose at all" ;)
Dude he just say olgierd was the villain in hearts of stone instead of master mirror?
sparda Hellkin he was an antagonist but yes O'Dimm was the Main antagonist.
It is possible that he wanted to conceal that fact from any new-comers.
sparda Hellkin, Olgierd is the villian, he's the asshole that almost got Geralt beheaded, Gaunter helped Geralt many times, so when the time came, i let Olgierd die, and went and took my saddle and left
Witcher 3 is great at gray morality
JTR yeah it is a bigger twist
Actually it wasn’t just Slavic folklore, there was also a lot of Celtic mythology and other European mythology. The wild hunt were seen all over Europe
Witcher: Ciri's Path
I would love to see a game focused on Ciri as the main character
In the Philippines we have a very similar version of the botchling(dunno if I spelled that right)called "tiyanak" though there are many versions of this depending on the region in the philippines the common version is that the Tiyanak is believed to be a baby whose mother died in childbirth or an aborted one. It is also said that a Tiyanak cannot go to the after life because of not having a name. It then led them to be an Earth bound creature which wonder around searching for someone to give them names.
From the philippines too but arent they alive because they died before they were baptised
Rafael Apari oh yeah forgot about that too. Btw which region are you I'm from region 10 and I live in a town famed by having many rumors of monsters living in our town can you guess?

These top 100 (whatever number. Top 10, 101, 107) are always so flawed in their research.
I'm just on my first play through and is somewhere about 1/3 into the Bloody Baron arc. And I'll be damned to say the story is going so good so far. I've already seen clips on youtube on the quest and honestly, I'm taking it quite slow just to preserve it.
Starting from the moment Baron's burying the botchling, to the setting, the lines, the expressions. Top fvcking notch.
I wonder how many people are here after seeing The Witcher on Netflix. Its good.

"7:07" the first two games were also open world? Am I drunk?
I like the old note you find near Kaer Morhen addressed to the bandits and written by Azar Javed who are of course the group that attack Kaer Morhen in the first game. Cool little nod
Heres some interesting facts:
Earth exists, a separate sphere (universe) than "The World". (although according to Avallach it might be destroyed in its present timeline)
Timelines can be traversed depending on how the spheres cross. They cross at different timelines.
Ciri visited Earths past during Medieval times and met King Aurthur.
Ciri also talks about a world where humans fly in airships and have robotic augmentations, she speaks about this in Witcher 3 so may not be canon (Future Earth Cyberpunk 2077?)
Dragons come from Earth.
Obviously Humans are from Earth, and may have originally been modern humans, but regressed back into medieval times after conjunction.
In the books avallach says humans came after causing the ruin of their own world in the conjunction of spheres, I believe it's in tower of the swallow?
I bought this January 2nd 2019 and just finished the game with 58 hours played already (Jan 10 now lol). Can't believe I never played it till now, hands down the best game i've ever touched. Gonna do the DLC and everything else now, and maybe replay it a bit differently

8:30 "Kim Jong Un's card is useless and he does nothing."
Really cool Easter egg from the book; if you're riding in novigrad, you might come across a crowd looking at a monster in a cage, and a man shouting to come see the basilisk. You tell him hes lying, the "basilik" breaks out of its cage, and you kill it. This exact scene happens in the book, however it is Ciri who confronts and kills the creature.
Missed the Cthulhu Easter egg, and the Necronomicon found in the game is a clear reference to Lovecraft‘s other works.
They missed the Tyrion Lanister easter egg, and despite mentioning the Assasin of Kings side quest, didn't mention that it was a nod to witcher 2.
"Final piece in Gerald's storyline"
*Laughs in confirmed Witcher 4 where we hopefully play as the man himself.*
*Or Ciri, I'd like a Witcher game about Ciri too.*
SomeAustrianGuy it'll probably be ciri, Geralts storyline is over
@@patrickripleyiii134 idk it will be Ciri either but we will see...myb the Witcher George who forgoted to bring his silver sword in fight with dragon but he still managed to kill him
I think Gwent is possibly the best thing about Witcher 3. I'm not undermining anything else in the game, but the fact they took the time to create a second game within an already over the top massive game is just amazing, and it means some times I just sit back and be like "I wanna play some cards, not kill monsters today".
Fun fact, the song "Ghost Riders in the Sky" by Johnny Cash is also about the legendary Wild Hunt of European folklore.
You missed the gollum Easter egg from Lotr.
Is that where Gollum is From? No way.
There are no witcher women. Ciri even isn't a full witcher
As well as she didn't undergo the mutations
EpicGaming, its a Witcheress, Ciri did undergo all the trials except The Grasses because of her abilities

How much does this game rock, you ask? Well, I have “The Wolven Storm” as my wife’s ringtone, I’ve got a long awaited appointment to get three of our favorite characters tattooed, and I’ve spent 850+ hours playing this game. I watched it only for the Geralt. Rest is absolute rubbish
There is an Easter egg in the bloody Baron’s castle referencing pulp fiction. In the basement do you come across two Two guards talking to each other one says “bring out the gimp” the other replies “gimp’s sleeping” and the first finishes the line by saying “Well I guess you’re gonna have to wake him” Which is a reference to the Shop basement seen with zed in the movie

Both silver and steel sword are use for killing monsters, silver used for magical monsters/ creatures, and steel used for non-magical creatures
There is also a bunch a Tarantino quotes in the film. There is a "Zed's Dead Baby", then obviously The Hattori Hanzo referece and in Crows Perch when you first go down stairs while investigating the Barons story of his wife and daughter leaving you hear the guards say "bring out the gimp. but the gimps sleeping. Well you better go wake him up then"
Hope Cyberpunk 2077 evolves like this

I beat this game on Death March difficulty with long loading screens it was a tough chore I love how people say that it was easy and everyone did it but the trophy percentage is under 2% someone's lying
The game has an issue for me where I did like an hour or so on blood and broken bones without noticing, I put it on death march for like 99% of the game but it didn't give me the trophy. Unless you start on death march and play the whole game like that it won't count, sadly
When you ask Ciri about her travel, she said she went in a world where people are made of metal and have flying vehicule ( or something like that ), she just speak about cyberpunk 2077
